Almost the same fleet as me!

My current regular auction purchase is a CL 500 I use as a daily along with the boring modern fleet of family daily’s, picked up for around £2k at Anglia Auctions in the summer. So far it has cost me oil and filters (DIY) and a cheap Chinese tyre to replace an unrepairable puncture, so in total about £200 over about 3k miles plus fuel. Zero depreciation.

At the other end of the scale I have a garage queen Concours ex AML prototype Vanquish that averages about 400 miles a year to shows and a DB4GT used for historic racing. I am scared to count what 10 and 34 years ownership has cost me on these, but the Vanq doubled in value since purchase and I don’t have enough zeros on my calculator to count the appreciation of the DB4 bought for 8k in 1986!

Somwhere in between is my GC that is a week end fun car that has cost the expected service costs over 2 years and 5k miles but nothing else and dropped about £5k in value during that time.

All have their own charms and foibles, but I love them all.

Great collection and congratulations for sticking with the DB4 and not being tempted to sell.
