For valet and for detailing in the London area, these are the oufits I have heard things about:

Project Karma
Gleaming Kleen
Sportscar Protection
Gleanmachine Detailing
Auto Finesse

Who has had experience of these outfits? Any views on which is the best - for both valet and for detailing?

Any other recommendations?

I have a recommendation....me. :dance4:

I am the only one aloud to touch my car, it would appear by the lack of replies, that most other members do the same.

Sorry Nick seems most on here do there own , must admit there's nothing i enjoy more on an early sunny sunday morning to wash and polish hoover and treat both Massers , tho increasingly now , its becoming hard doing the two , Oh and the fact im generally too tight to pay someone else to do what i can do , when im too old or it becomes a chore then i will be happy to pay some else to do it ,

Cant help feeling with UK weather its a bit of a waste of money average price for wash, and machine polish with a thimble full of £8000 a Kg wax , tyre lick and internal hoover and leather treatment wipe over is around £350-£400 If your cars a daily driver its back in the original state in a months time , if its a once a month garage queen then it could be worth it , if your not the hands on type or your a bit of a high flyer and dont have the time. Many on here use them and im sure some will comment possibly Roger who has recently treated himself and his 4200 to the works

you fellas are obviously far more talented than me.

you're right loz - the rain is a nightmare.

no sooner had I got her looking all gussied up and she got caked in mud from a country drive.

certainly not a garage queen - but time is a problem - and as you know, she is not housed where I live.

I'll stayed tuned to see if anyone knows of these outfits.

detailing would be down the track and for a treat.

Actually, there's no point - just checked the pics I have and they aren't really good enough quality to show the difference. But Zaff does a very good and meticulous job.

My baby is booked in to be gussied up on saturday morning with Auto Finesse.

good web site - check out the cars they have worked on - and the guy running seems very efficient.

Although it seems most do their own work here, I will report back. I have heard good things about him and checked out his work on a detailing forum.

And then after she is done ... happy snaps - hopefully on here by sunday.


Mods - maybe this thread should be moved to maintenance etc

Always use Gleaming Kleen.....Great work and wouldn't trust a car to anyone else...Bit far for yourself to use as in Wiltshire.....You may see him hanging about here very soon with some offers...

Thats my fav pic of my old car....it could be Italy no Bristol if you didn't know.

they are very good but no good for me - I'm in London.

and I'm not too keen to pay them to come all the way in.

got to have someone relatively local
