Vibration noise at 50-80 mph

Hello all,

I have a considerable vibrating rumble noise coming from the MY03 Coupe Cambiocorsa which becomes noticeable at around 40 mph, is loudest around 70 mph, then seems to quieten down around 80 mph, but is maybe just vibrating so fast it gets mixed in with other driving noise.

Only way I can describe it, is that it sounds like a drive shaft vibrating.
Car idles and revs fine, nothing obvious.
Has been through MOT and nothing came up from suspension - shouldn't have because it has not done many miles since had new poly bushes installed.
The vibration is the same, no matter what gear the car is in - seems speed dependent.
No obvious vibration at steering wheel, so don't think it's alignment - car is driving straight and not pulling.

If it would help, I can see if I can upload a wee recording?

Any ideas where how I could troubleshoot this, please?

What Ewan said. If it is speed related it’s going to be wheels / bearings. If it’s torque tube it would be engine speed related.

As Phil wrote, check tyres first.
I had the same at approx. 70mph; it was a bulge in the rear tyre inner sidewall.

Could be bent wheel. That was my issue. Both fronts. Merc has just had rear straightened too. That started at 68mph so was horrible on the motorway.

I think there is a gremlin in your neck of the woods who is going round bending your wheels….
