Nope, the only route here is:

http://www.captainzcnc.com/

Have the nylon parts replaced with milled metal parts.

All for about £100.

You do want to check the gear ontop of the shock turns 90 degrees in each direction. If not the shock has seized and this is what broke the gear.

David Askew can rebuild your shock for around £100 from memory.

Come on breaker breaker, don't get excited, it's only advice?
Check that the motor is working, if it is, then just replace the gearing, if not the whole thing, after checking that the shock has not seized.

Thanks to forum I've now found one.

I'm 99% sure it was the motor that had failed - I swapped it for another which worked fine so the electrics seem ok - I've also now opened up the actuator and can confirm that the plastic planetary gears are all fine. The cog on all the shock absorbers rotate freely through about 180 degrees.
It was the nearside rear (RHD) which is a bit unusual.

With a bit of luck I may at last get rid of that pesky ERROR light

happy days around the corner!

Does that qualify for the Pun of the day award?

Fingers crossed that the ERROR light now goes out - after glowing for 12 months it's probably become etched into the dashboard glass
