It was fairly epic driving on Sunday night - booking Eurotunnel instead of the ferries was inspired thinking back in October - the wipers were on max for about five hours, I thought the paint was going to be stripped off the car the rain was so intense but the QP took it all in her stride and was a haven of decorum. Just a couple of flashes of traction control on some roundabouts. <Grin>

It's safely tucked away in a garage while I drink my way through these few days.

Season's greetings to you.

Been **** in Kent. We've got away lightly in Ashford. 20 minutes down the road in Maidstone and Tonbridge have had it real bad.
I hope ADG in Hildenborough are ok. That's supposed to have a load of flooding as we'll.

Safe travels, Newton! Mrs. N and her parents and brothers are off to Belfast from Stansted tomorrow afternoon. Hoping it will be a smooth run for them.

Just had a gust of 105mph here in Connemara, on the west coast, my house has the Atlantic on 3 sides of it. The house is shaking, the power lines are screaming, but the cars safe in the garage. Sea salt coating the windows, stuff flying around outside, roof is trying to lift off, expect the electricity to go soon!

05.30 this morning on the M25 was fun in an Aygo, the only saving grace is it was fully laden; Jeanette drove up to Buxton after dropping me off, said if was hard work keeping to one Lane on the M1!!!
