What are GT Autos worth?

It might be time to change and I will look at a p/ex for a newer car from a dealer, but it seems to make sense to consider a private sale too - this community is where the experts on these cars live.... so

09/59 GranTurismo S Auto
black / cream with black carpets
41500 miles
full main dealer service history
bose
I am the 2nd owner

So, what would you advertise it at?

On px against a 12/62 similar vehicle what would you gun for as cost to change?

I think the man you've been waiting for has just popped up on the Newbies page !.....I wouldn't dare venture an opinion on value on yours in open forum.. but...if it helps..

I've just changed a near mint high spec 08 GT with 25k miles for a 62 plate (slightly lower spec) Sport Auto with 18k with a cost to change of a little under £29k...Could have traded it in as a p/x at that level.. but did a little better on purchase and cost to change by selling to a Forum Newbie at a few k less than a forecourt ticket price..

I would guess:

-trade £39k if no warranty
-private £41.5k if no warranty
-retail £45k with 1 year warranty

Just guesses though!

Also have your brakes been changed?

Inline with what you were expecting?

Personally I feel that a lot of Sport prices are over the top and need adjusting but as they are often still at main dealers they are being priced on higher margins than I suggested above. As for a cost to change it should be under £25k and possibly as low as £20k. Basically you are paying three years depreciation and a dealer margin.

Can't disagree, ... I was looking at a budget of about £25k to get into a late 2010 GTS from the GT and £30k to get into the 2012 Sport...... assuming Mint condition and low miles....

If you're doing it from a GTS in the first place then you've a head start on me... Your issue is that with 40k+ on the clock there are a few to choose from... but if it's a well sorted car with no issues It should find a decent home..

It's in the "dealers favourite" colour combo...

Indeed broadly in line with what I was expecting.

I am told that the spec was done by the Brand Manager at JCT600 Leeds at the request of the first owner...

All in good order and all up to date with servicing etc. Tyres OK too.

Will get it washed up, photos taken and get it up for sale sometime soon. Will start transfer of my plate over too.

Well, I am just waiting on the DVLA to get their act together with the retention of my plate and then it is good to go

I spoke with Nareman at Nuvola who echoed the prices suggested here (equal expertise I would say!) and sounds sensible as a SOR option. I also had a chat with Graypaul and JCT600 and, whilst it wouldn't make sense to think about either of them as an outright buyer, the cost to change numbers are pretty much bang in line with those mentioned here.

So, you can all have a feather in your cap for your expert market knowledge from me!

no replacement as yet (unless you count the renault ZOE that I am nipping about in)

considering maybe a newer version GT-S, maybe a Lotus Evora, maybe a BMW F800 expedition... not that I am indecisive!

What is the Zoë like?

better than I ever expected it to be.

not a car for driving hundreds of miles across continents in

but, for day to day stuff - school run, commute, shops and similar it is brilliant. Quite nippy off the line up to about 40. Comfortable and nice enough to drive. Plenty of gadgets (tom tom connected sat nav, bluetooth, streaming media, reversing camera). Can set it to warm up / cool down prior to use by the iPhone app (tell it to be ready at 7 in the winter and there it is ready: warm cabin, clear windows)

cheap too. Its about £2 for 75 miles on domestic charging at the moment (more £/mile when it is very cold and free charging at motorway services etc.) and was leased at a time when Renault really wanted to move them back in Dec 14: no deposit and £153 per month all in then hand it back at the end of 2 years.

hard to find too much to complain about with it really, but it couldn't be our only car
