Try Isopropyl alcohol. You can get it from amazon for around £8 a litre. Soak a lint free cloth and wipe over the sticky panels. It need to soak into the sticky residue but should then start to wipe off. It wont harm the paint or finish.Had a spare hour today so decided ti tackle the removal of the PPF which is just past its best and starting to yellow.
Managed to do the side skirt and one front wing without too much drama, will do the other side and bonnet next week, but am leaving the nose / front bumper.
The difference is subtle but I can see the difference.
Just need to find something to remove the odd sticky bit, nothing is touching it so far.
I tried that but with little success……. the “goo gone” arrived today so with try that……Try Isopropyl alcohol. You can get it from amazon for around £8 a litre. The big Q is, then, Sam... will you get some fresh PPF applied? So I have a day off so spent an hour or so removing the rest of the PPF (have left it on the front bumper / nose for the moment.
Came off well and the “goo gone” has worked a treat, am sure I will keep fining little bits here and there but I am pleased so far.
I have taken the skin off my knuckles and a few blisters on the tips of my fingers as the best technique I found, was to warm it up and then get my fingers under and push it up rather than pulling from above.

Fair enough. As you know, I'm a big fan. Well-applied quality PPF can be a wonderful thing. But it can also be a bugger on white cars.Nope
Not the place ( location of #7 grandchild) but a noisy trip in the small-booted SpyderWhat's wrong with Exeter? - Lovely part of the world!

mine had been a top job - 8/9 years and only just “going off” but I like to wax a car so won’t replace it.Fair enough. As you know, I'm a big fan. Well-applied quality PPF can be a wonderful thing. But it can also be a bugger on white cars.
Can I ask how you got on with Goo Gone? ThanksI tried that but with little success……. the “goo gone” arrived today so with try that……
Mine's getting the same love and affection, Peter. It's the right thing to do.Arranged for them both to have a spa day whilst they are in storage.
It worked a treat, I applied using a small spray that I had handing around which meant I could get a good amount of product on the sticky residue, left it for a few mins and and then used an old microfibre cloth (with a bit more product) to rub it off.Can I ask how you got on with Goo Gone? Thanks
