Dropped off the QP V at "Dent Removal Solutions" to have a go at the smattering of door dings on the passenger side. May not be able to bring her to perfection, but will make strides in that direction. Yesterday, installed a new mirror control switch, and it's always surprising how much satisfaction there is in having a simple job done to completion, then everything works as intended. Slowly but surely, working down a very substantial backlog of deficiencies on the QP V, while the Spyder is near completion of its winter to do list.

I did drive the absolute snot out of the QP yesterday. Noted that I have consumed half tank of petrol in about 180 miles...need to order tires as what was on the rears (not much) is even less now.

Very good.
However, don't put it away wet unless you've got very good ventilation. The fasted way to rot a car !

Sprayed electrical switch cleaner on the drivers door opening microswitch. After a few hours, it's working nicely again.

Seems like we are about in import territory. But I want LHD because the mad cow keeps me from remembering which side of the car the gas fill is on, let alone which door hides the steering wheel.

And then there's the issue of parts. So yes, it's a foolish dream, but a dream well worth having.

As for today, since today is tomorrow now ... starting to polish out the QP, the paint is in atrocious condition, having been left outside for at least the past year, one side clearly exposed to the southern sun, and the other happily collecting sap droplets. Clay bar complete. Finished the polish of the hood and roof, but midnight is a good time to head for the sauna and a martini to call it a night.
Picked up some Empress Gin with elderflower, looking forward to that!

Well it finally happened cheap fix from Blythe bros in the states and it’s all done

Removed the brake pad guides from the calipers that came off my GS.
Mixture of heat, chisel and T27 with a lot of patience.
Glad I wasn’t trying to do that on the car

Finally finished polishing the QP! Three days on and off to get through it, and that’s just the exterior, interior will be next when I get back from vacation in Belize.

Can hardly tell it’s the same car, quite happy to see the labor was worth it.
