...also want to confirm success with Lexol cleaner on stickies. The QP came with some...and I had used other stuff on the Spyder, but recalled that my CL500 had the same issues with stickies (the buttons on the steering wheel, especially) and I had resolved those with the Lexol products. Same beautiful outcome on the QP...microfiber rags, one damp with Lexol and the other for buffing.

Started , and took for a wee drive. I seem to have a misfire at high revs, and a bit more than usual popping and banging on the over run. No codes though, but assuming it's running too rich?

Popping on overrun is too lean, isn't it?

It is. But lean burn stops complete combustion as well... I thought that rich was more associated with backfires.

Of course, this won't be the first time I'm wrong :)

Backfires are what I meant. I might take her for a proper Italian tune up and see if that helps :)

If an engine runs so lean that the spark plug cannot ignite the fuel then you could get a misfire.

You’d assume a misfire would bring a CEL, popping on overrun would suggest rich, because you get additional oxygen in the exhaust which re-ignites the fuel.

I do know when it was hooked up to a diagnostic both lambda's were doing nothing! No change I output, I thought that would bring up a CEL if a real issue. Oh well Italian charm lol.

I have the most relaxed GT..in the world...

Just spent the last hour or so massaging the leather seats with a leather balm . My hands have never been so soft and smell of leather...

Another brew and a bite to eat and a quick wash before an early start tomorrow.
I'm taking mine to a man tomorrow who's going to give the seats a good pampering - clean, exfoliate, deep massage - hopefully he'll also give me a few treatment tips

I was wondering about this when I was at the NEC show last month - there was a 4200 in the auction with horrendous sticky button disease, the worst I've ever seen!

My next job is to give the Biturbo another wash and brush up for the local meet coming up on Wednesday night.

I read that modern leather car seats had a plastic coating so using leather balm was a waste of time. Is that so?

Got back from an extended trip away, drove 3 hrs home and jumped straight out in the Mazza with wife and daughter for a blast.

Constant grin on my fat cheeks.

Really worked the engine and it gobbled it up, pops and crackles off throttle and an absolute symphony on it.

I've never driven one on standard suspension, but this is so light and responsive to steer, total joy to drive.
