Improvised martini made with a special edition Empress Gin infused with rose and elderflower, mixed with a little Cocchi Americano for a bitter side taste. Lovely to look at, better to drink. Cheers!

They are lightning to usb-c converters. Recently swapped iPhone to new 15 which has usb-c port so using those little converters for charging.
Pesky EU enforcing Apple to move away from lightening connector so we save money by using single USB-C standard chargers, what actually happens is everyone buys lightening to USB-C convertors so no saving at all - green fail!!

Totally agree & bl00dy annoying. Have had to change multiple chargers and cables in all cars and both houses

I am about to get a 15 - thank you for the heads up!
Those little lightning to usb-c converters do work.. but, charging with them is ever so slow. So inevitably I ended up replacing all my cables to usb-c, hence the little gathering of some of them there, next to the wine btl :)

Is this somewhere you could have used those hot tong things which are used to heat up a ring around the neck of the bottled and then fracture it? You'd obviously then need to decant into a suitably achingly stylish crystal decanter..

Does cognac continue to age in a bottle?

You mean these port tongues?

I could have, there’s a small gas flask in the box to heat the tongues up with - but it’s a right faff and it’s just easier to pull the remains of the cork and filter it.
Cognac does not improve once bottled, no spirit does. But, a cognac from the 60s/70s is of far higher quality than standard Cognac produced now. The world has become much larger in terms of demand.
