What's this?

Been sitting in the car listening to the radio with the engine off. Put key in ignition and got this message. The display between the dials has vanished. Started the engine, but it doesn't make any difference.
Any ideas? I've put the battery on charge. Battery reset? Does this involve disconnecting it for 30 mins and reconnecting it?

That looks familiar. You've a Nav database cd in the slot. It's updating the NIT, if I recall the endless NIT disk repairs

Where's the disc, I didn't know there was one? Do all granturismo's have them? Mine's MY 2012.

Another silly question. Is this the card in question? I've pushed it in to release, but it doesn't want to come out and there are no CDs ib the horizontal slot above.

no, that is for a SIM card, the slot referred that holds the CD is the horizontal one, that you say is empty.

If as you say there is no CD in the slot, a battery disconnect for 30 mins or so would be my next move.

I believe there is only the one CD slot

Can you not just select “No” where it is asking if you wish to continue ?

Hi, is this the correct reset procedure or should I leave the battery off for 30mins?

1) Close all windows, doors
2) Unlock car (disarming alarm)
3) Disconnect negative terminal
4) Wait 2 minutes
5) Connect negative terminal
6) Turn the key to ON position, let it run 20 seconds
7) Continue turning the key to start the engine, let it run for a few minutes
8) Turn off car, lock and unlock windows

Car is happy now. Apparently it was having a paddy because I was listening to the radio rather than the engine. Thanks for the help.
