I had the same problem again today from Oslo airport...are certain IPs being blocked?

Whoa whoa whoa, sadly it was short lived.
A couple of pages later I was back to the 403 page and then apache when I removed /forum.php

Back in the uk now and it's not working on the Irish phone on 3G but does work on the home wireless.

URGENT!

I am experiencing these problems now (apache test page) whenever I try and access SM using my home Internet connection. I'm only managing to do this post by connecting via 3G on my phone. Home Internet is with Talk Talk if that helps.

Out of interest, this has also happened when I've tried to access the forum at work and has been for some time. I didn't think anything about it as I thought it was a problem at our end until I mentioned it to our IT guys who said it shouldn't be happening and was a problem at the forum end. They were then perplexed when I showed them it was fine using my 3G connection and started to investigate it (that's right, I've got the IT team at work investigating why I can't access the forum lol!). This was only on Friday so not sure where they got to but obviously I'm now very concerned as I can't access from my computer at home (and all other sites are just fine).

Can someone clever please look into this please?

Still get this from time to time on the Irish phone, seems to be when I have a low signal.
Not sure if that helps or confuses the situation?

I wouldn't be too worried if it was on my phone but it's going to be a pain accessing it just on my phone

Site admin....HELP!

I'm on UK O2 and have only ever get the Apache 2 Test Page when I enter http://www.sportsmaserati.co.uk am I doing something wrong or do I need a /??? at the end?

I would thoroughly enjoy having mobile access as I work away a couple of nights a week most weeks.... Like Dan my company, my rules so as far as I'm aware I don't have any blocks in place!

I also see the apache test page a lot when I am in Norway...
ok most of the time from my office, but nearly always unable to access SM from the airport lounges and some hotels.

All seems fine now but there is clearly a problem that we're all experiencing which hopefully the admin will look into.

It seems something must have changed last night and then fixed today...anyway, I'm just glad all is OK now!

Ok just caught up on this one we will look into it. We had the server locked down very securely a few months back plus we are running spam blocking software.

We will have a dabble and see where we get to.

I've had this in the past on my PC at work, though not for a few months now. Never had it on my Macs at home.

I had the apache page thing when trying to access the forum a couple of weeks ago. I reset my BT home hub and all worked fine...

I spoke to Trev about it today and our server is blocking your ip if you see the Apache test page. The only way round it is for us to turn this permission off which will leave us open to automated hacking attacks.

We will see if there is anything further we can do.

Guys, this might be down to the spam-o-matic tool running on the site. I have created an exception for:

Can you check to see if this has solved it or let me know by PM is it still exists.

Was there a point at which this started to happen, ie the spam-o-matic has been running from about Feb this year and could tie to this.

Matt

I had this a few months back - might have been Feb on my Blackberry and also my new laptop.
Lasted a few days but been fine since then.

Ok, thanks Dave, that was about the time Spam-o-matic was implemented on the system.

Could well have been around Feb time for me also. Lasted a week or so, but has been fine since both at work (PC) and at home (Mac).

Matt,

Never had any major issues on home PC, work PC's laptops or parent's PCwhen I'm staying there. My problem is on my Android phone web accesss it is no go just straight to Apache page.. If I google search the page I can access as a mobile web simplified but with no log in option so posting would be anonymous...

O2 UK mobile web, don't know if I can provide I.P. will try and get info.

Thanks for looking into it.
