Xmas meet convoys

Just as a thought... how many of the attending have done convoys before?

Obviously 20+ cars all trying to remain in convoy from Ace to Karting isn't ever going to happen!
I don't know if there is any kind of plan on this as yet, if not, can I suggest "packs" of 5 cars? With leading car/s watching his mirrors for the car behind and pulling over or slowing if they lose sight of them? The trailing cars flashing their lights when all are present and correct, giving the signal to move on?

When I did the Pink Pig run a couple of months ago it was total chaos, the "leader" went off like a loony and left the pack of 20 cars all going their own way... or not as it turned out!

Also, I'm sure "Convoys" need MSA approval or the organiser may be liable for any potential incidents. So if there is no MSA approval in place I strongly suggest that in the event of the rozzers wanting to have a word that you say that you happened to find whoever you're driving with along the way and that you are more than likely going to the same place.... if you know what I mean.

I remember attempting one through Bristol with Loz, Safrane and I think one other car, that was hard enough. Agreed, 20 cars is going to be difficult, 1 set of lights and were boogered.
