A fairly pointless waste of the price of a really nice house in the country. The competition history isn't that great either; two races, two DNFs and a long time parked in boxes and plastic bags and then it gets repainted in a cr4p shade of blue. Hasn't it suffered enough?

Wow, we're talking about a genuine C-Type here that raced in the Mille Miglia and has an unbroken, albeit chequered history!!

Why the hate, thought this was a car enthusiats's site!!

Can not like all cars Lewis........Just not a Jag fan myself no matter what age..........Yes a great piece of history I'm sure but for that money I'm sure you could get a pice of history that would make me go weak at the knees.....That doesn't.......Car buying is very emotional I find and it's all about the marque...

I suppose I like Jags in particular, so that one does it for me :) I agree though, that for £1.2M I bet I could find something that would thrill me more and still be eligable for the classic series races. Imagine doing the modern Mille Miglia in something like that...

I remember Jaguar being the sponsor of the Revival one year, they had constant ads for Jags on the big screens showing the vintage ones winning races and the heritage leading up to the modern cars. I came straight home and bought an S-Type V8! Marketing man's dream I am... i.e. a chump!

Not hate Lewis, more akin to disinterest. The earliest Jags I rate are the D types, although I would much rather have a blower Bentley. The colour, however historic, is, IMO, fairly cr4p.

If/when I ever get round to building/having one built, I think that colour would be a contender. Just a bit different to the BRG or Ecurie Ecosse blue ones.

To dismiss the marque out of hand is to do a once great company a disservice although, up to a point, I can understand it if Jaguar judged by some of its more recent blandishments. This particular car is over-valued imho, given that it has a number of replacement parts. As for the blue, well each to their own, it would be a dull world if we all loved white.

Still, if Jaguar is out of favour you might consider this:
