I think my most commented car was my Skyline, I had that in 2003 so it predated the TF&TF, but it was in the middle of Grantourismo time... everyone loved it!

The next most was probably my white Mk1 MX5, it was subtle and just very approachable.

The Mazzer, people do certainly look surprised when I get out - I don't look like the sort of person to drive one! My friends and work colleagues have all had choice words, but all wanted a go!
I parked it in the front driveway for a few days and my stepdaughter kept getting annoyed because people kept stopping to look at it! I think the colour helps, especally in the sunshine. No negative comments yet.

Last time out in mine, before I had an altercation in a car park, as I turned in this guy pulls out his phone and starts videoing the car and then as I stopped to pull into a bay he was bent down next to exhaust pipes, and mine is as the factory intended....

My Maserati does get a fair amount of attention and to date all good (apart from the wife) but my Hennessy Dodge SRT10 Venom 800 (bhp) was the real show stopper.
However when I moved to 40 mile from office the 6 mpg and 12 gallon tank was an issue! P1000084.jpegP1000081.jpeg

The GT got the most comments from women at my work but the Ferrari is the one that gets the kids most excited (albeit I never drove it to work) - in the past 18months i’ve owned it, I got at least 5 kids sitting in it and parents taking pictures

Good thread. For me, it's the Vantage. The GTS got a ton of positive feedback, and I'm amazed at the handful of negatives mentioned on here. The Aston definitely pips it, though.

Unquestionably the QP is the most comment worthy car I've owned. In London it doesn't merit a second glance, there are plenty of new Ghiblis GTs and Levantes around my neighbourhood but for some reason this summer in France it solicited more comments - all of them favourable - than usual.

Everywhere I parked I had thumps-ups from passing drivers, I had random people walking up to me asking questions about it. It was parked at the in-laws place for a while and all the neighbours were talking about it. I probably put more wear and tear on the clutch and tyres giving joy rides than all the miles I did on the drive. Still, it was fun to see people's glee when the engine note turns to a bellow, then a shriek, and the horizon pulls in.

By far, the Mercedes-Benz W123 Coupes I owned. Something about a car with a small bottom and a long bonnet plus chrome seems to interest the ladies. I'll let you form your own thought bubbles...
The 166 and 147 get love too – only from men, though.

Despite all that, the most 'successful' car was a three-door Focus 1.6. With a CVT gearbox. Make of that what you will.

Not surprisingly it is the SZ, it draws attention like flies to a light bulb. If I had a £1 for everytime it has been photo'd I would have an F12 sat at home. The attention is nearly always positive, those who know say "you don't see many of those" those that don't "what the F*ck is that"

Mrs Z always says other drivers just stare as when they see it, their eyes are never on the road ahead how we have never been the cause of an accident I don't know, We have had van drivers hanging out of windows, some guy standing through his sunroof, truck drivers hanging phones out of the window - you name it we have probably seen it.

There was one at Feli's today. I really wish......

Definitely this car. Funnily enough mostly teenagers and other ladies admiring and asking questions. Blokes only tend to approach in packs or from the 'safety' of a van or something - I must be very scary! One chap who came over to look at the car asked condescendingly 'is this your husbands car?' which prompted a reply of 'no, he has his very own car and doesn't need to drive mine' accompanied by small jets of steam escaping from my ears! He took a hasty step back and then proceeded to tell me all the things that are wrong with Maseratis - too slow, old fashioned blah, blah. When he paused for breath I asked him what he drove and he said - wait for it - a Honda Jazz......

Never had a negative comment about the 3200, always "nice car" at the pumps, apart from the 1 porsche owner who told me it's a good job it has a heated rear screen ....even gets a few nice comments online!

For me it has to be the Ghibli II don't think I've ever been out in it when someone hasn't commented. Surprised how many people know what it is!
Was in a filling station once and in the space of 30 seconds I had a particularly well dress gentleman in a RangeRover & a Teenager in a beat up Civic compliment me on it.
Maserati bridging the social divide for a hundred years!

I think almost every classic or interesting car I have had has received lots of compliments but if I have to pic one it would have been my
Aston Martin DBR1 recreation, a fantastic quality build and exacting specification to one of the most beautiful cars in the world

Was having another think about this and my Esprit used to get loads of attention and was pretty close to the attention my T350t got. The TVR used to get heads turning before it was in view though and the colour also was a head turner. It's was silver but had blue and go,d flecks in it so looked stunning in the sun.

The firm that makes them give a choice of all fibre glass, all aluminium or part glass part aluminium, mine was the latter with aluminium boot, bonnet and doors the body was glass but tubbed in alloy sobit was difficult to tell. Lots of bespoke parts in these had made cars, but it wold be fair to say Jag running gear. Sadly I lost mine to a roadside fire and it was a total loss.

You must of been gutted to lose such a car, always adored the styling of these old racing cars including the Jaguar D type
