So this works for a QPV, too?
Been down this road. You'll need to buy 6 pot calipers as our cars only have 4 pot at the front ~ £500 when last I looked on eBay and also mounting brackets.

Quite fancy the braided hoses though...

Mark has the S so 6 pots already fitted. It takes longer to jack the car up and take the wheels off than change the discs.

Thanks @Bebs, it was great to deal with you too.

To answer some of the questions:

Pads: These are Ferodo DS Performance. These are still R90 compliant, but give slightly better performance than a standard pad.

Pad area: this is the same as standard, the spacer and exact disc diameter were the subject of a lot of study during the development and are specific to ensure the swept area of the disc is exact.

Why are they better: several reasons. 1. The leverage ratio is greater, the amount of pad pressure needed to give a given amount of retardation is lower 2. The pads are better than standard. 3. The discs have better cooling for more consistent temperature.

Just new, rather than better: The difference between even a new 360mm disc and a 380mm are marked. Due to the increased leverage ratio, we knew the braking would be better, but the surprise was how much the modulation and feel were improved.

A not on Braided Hoses - I can now supply these, they are circa £100.
Ooo tempted are Strad hoses the same length as gt's?

I've had Zep's big disc conversion fitted to my Granturismo; it's TRANSFORMED the braking and driveabilty - and before anyone asks the original discs/pads were in good condition, and had braided hoses fitted prior to the conversion, so the factory setup was as good as it could be. Zep's kit is a very noticeable improvement and the best thing I've changed on the car. Although the x pipe and sports cats have a bigger grin factor.....

Really appreciate all the positive feedback chaps. It was a lot of work, with some great support from other forum members, to develop both this kit and the Gransport 6 pot upgrade.

I’m very proud to read that everyone that has them has felt the benefit.

For anyone pondering an upgrade, I’ll have a set of 380mm discs on the shelf in a couple of weeks, just in time for Christmas.

Gransport 6 pot, have I been asleep?

I think my front discs are on the way out, as pointed out by Dale from Prestige Autoworks when the car was serviced a couple of weeks back, so I’d be keen to understand prices and lead times for a set of front discs and pads. Having previously owned a Jaguar XFR the OE brakes don’t give as much confidence as the Brembos on the Jag so any way to improve both performance and pedal feel (when combined with braided hoses) would be very welcome.
