Properly excited now. Been on to my insurers (Axa) who have confirmed that as long as I'm not being paid and the event is not for a company then I'm insured - result :thumb1:

I'm aiming to leave Leeds around 4.30 which should get me to Hinckley around 7 traffic permitting. I'll then be searching out food and beverage about 8. Who else is at the hotel who might be around? Where's best to meet?

Have you been on the M1 recently? About half the distance is 50mph average speed cameras - and it's Friday so some numpty in a caravan is bound to have an accident.

Early start for me, Phil. I'll be away for work part of this week and then leaving again for Dubai on Sunday morning so I'd rather day trip it, even if it does mean a silly o'clock start.

What time are you all planning on leaving the hotel to head for the track?

Andy i've got a small a4 sized white board id thats any use for you. Suspect its too small for what you need but shout if you want me to bring it.

Hi Phil - I'll be driving up early doors on Saturday.....what time do we have to get there to beat the traffic etc, and as such, what time would you recommend leaving Newbury?

Looks like the restaurant is actually shut. They're adding an MPW steakhouse but sadly not open yet.

Can't see a bar menu on line, but there's also Baranacles just down the road which has got some good reviews.

Still, can't be *that* hard :)

Gents remember you all need to be parked up before 08:30 ....... If you aren't you will struggle to get in......If you have a late session and wnat to come later that is OK but you will still need a brief before being let out on track.......08:15 would be ideal....If you don't get there that early you will be queuing for ages and miss the designated route for track cars.....that shuts at 08:30...

Remember you need you headlights on and your pass shown in the window to get to the designated route.
