Can't remember the dates but would have been Grateful Dead at Rainbow Theatre or Hawkwind at Hexagon where, rather to the surprise of a teenager, a longbeard nearby took all his clothes off and stood in crucifixion pose gazing stagewards at things I couldn't see. At the time I didn't know that "Silver Machine" is about a bicycle.

Talking of festival's, the first for me was the Isle of Wight in 1969.. Bob Dylan, Jimmy Hendrix, The Who...

I was out of it most of the time, some I do remember though ;)

What do they say .... If you remember it you weren't there
Or was that Woodstock - or the 60s in general :)

I was there, still have the bus ticket to Southampton from Coventry. Via the ferry to the IoW

Richie Havens was just brilliant!

Sorry about this but apart from very small venues & small bands in Soho when I worked there I have only been to see one band. You ready for this....S Club 7! Didn't even go with kids as didn't have any then.

Funny us 5 blokes sitting there in Wembley Arena with thousands of tiny kids & mums. It was a favour to my mate at the time Jason & his brother Leigh to support their sister Rachel

Got to go to the after show party though & had a good chat with Lenny Henry after with free bar so wasn't so bad.

So the ones we never saw, for me it would be Prince.

Wow - this is something else! So many but if just one then no question - The Who. When they were whole - not as they recently said Who2 or WhosLeft :) Saw them at the Roundhouse a while ago and it was amazing - but something was missing. The original line up would've been something else.

Prince - I got to outside Wembley, I think, and then didn't buy a ticket off a tout as the price was exhorbitant even though the concert had started... Wish i'd paid up now!
