As we seem to have quite a wide spectrum of ages and tastes, going by the "What Are You Listening Today" thread, I thought it may be interesting to see who, where, and when, everyones first concert/band was.

Mine was RUSH 2112 tour Glasgow Apollo 1977, (Giving my age away with that one!)

The Boomtown Rats (being supported by The Troggs) at Hammmersmith Odeon back in 1979. I'd seen a fair few local bands prior to that, but that was my first "proper" gig.

Earl Klugh in Hammersmith, I was chaperoning my sister and her new boyfriend. Not the best of nights.

Don't remember the first, but I remember the best. Beastie Boys, The Acadamy. Absolutely amazing, played all their own instruments. Sabotage!!

I'm a bit jealous (but wasn't born..)

Def Leppard - High n dry tour

...and now I'm pretty jealous (Maiden) and really, really jealous (Leppard), but I still wasn't born!

My first gig was with my parents, and was Runrig.
My second, with my mum, Ronnie Brown (half of the Corries).

The first gig I attended without my parents was the Corrs - and before you take the mick, read my username, appreciate I've seen them a few times since, and that I've probably heard it all before!

I've missed out on a lot of gigs I'd loved to have been at over the years as I've never wanted to go to one alone, and none of my friends listen to anything all that rock like.

AC/DC Back in Black tour at Newcastle City Hall in November 1980. Brian Johnson's home gig - fantastic.
