    Locked Out

Hoping someone can help. After washing the car I got an EPB warning as well as ABS and Antiskid. Read a few thoughts on this so disconnected battery for ten minutes. This seemed to reset the EPB and release it, but now I can't get into the car. Locks/Unlocks OK on the fob, likewise with the key...

With much regret, I am selling my 4200

Sad to say but the time has come to let someone else enjoy my 4200. As some will know I've spared no expense on this low mileage car - new discs, pads, factory recon calipers, race cat exhaust, 360 challenge stradale software, the list goes on. Very genuine car. If you want to know any more...

    Alternative service parts?

Are there decent alternatives for 4200 service parts - air and oil filters, plugs etc? Just been on Eurospares and can't believe the cost of parts.

    Stradale Engine Fault

Am getting an intermittent fault light on my Strad, had GP take a look at it and they say it's the variable valve timing sensor. Anyone had this fault beofr and if so have you fixed it yourself or had a dealer do it and at what cost? Light is currently off, so it could simply be lack of use

    Selling my Stradale

Very reluctantly selling my Nero Carbonio Stradale. Have owned this car from new, meticulously serviced every year. 14.5k miles. Been offered £65k from a dealer and that's not a trade-in price. Am open to sensible offers. I know this will sell because it's not white...... If genuinely...

4200 Front wheel Bearing - or lack thereof

Red Shed has now been off the road for more than two months waiting on a front wheel bearing. I've got a couple on order with Eurospares but they are waiting on restock from Italy. I've since tried various sources and it seems there are none anywhere. Does anyone know better? Would be rightly...

    Pollen Filter check

Following on from Con's very good post about water inside the pollen filter housing, I bit the bullet yesterday and took red Shed apart - the relevant parts anyway. Managed to get to the filter without too much trouble other than a bloomin' sore back from leaning over so far and the housing...

    FS: 3200/4200 wheels with tyres

Having treated Red Shed to a nice new set of wheels, my original 4200 wheels are now for sale. I would keep them, but SWMBO says we need the space. Front are 235/40 ZR18 with Yokohama Advan Sports, rears have 265/35 ZR18 Bridgestone S-02. All 4 tyres have plenty of life left in them, and as...

I appear to have one foot in the Dark Side

So I land back from the States a couple of weeks ago, and get a call from Graypaul in Nottingham "suggesting" I have a look at a 458 they've just had in. Seems my missus isn't too keen on the McLaren 720 I have on order and has been very active in trying to "dissuade" me from committing to it...

    Selling my Stradale

OK guys, as I have now ordered and placed a sizable deposit on a new car, it is with huge reluctance that I'll need to let my Stradale go. It's a 2015(64) plate car, Nero Carbonio with "proper" Strad wheels. Interior is black leather/alcantara with red stitching. It's got carbon door and dash...

    Center console wiring problem?

On occasion, my 4200 center console fails to "connect" to the car. It's the lower console with the gear "lever". On start up, sometimes it doesn't light up, the fan doesn't work and neither do any of the controls or buttons on the console. Before I go ripping it out to investigate, I thought I...

    Red Shed gets new shoes

Picked up a set of older 3200 wheels complete with Pilot Sport tyres off Ebay. Wheels were fundamentally sound, but needed a bit of a refurbishment. Stuck them into The Wheel Specialist in Nottingham and got them back a couple of days later. Just under 400 quid for dark chrome finish. This...

    Torx wheel bolts

Has anyone ever found any Torx wheel bolts to fit the Granturismo series? I much prefer the look of them and they would also give a bit of a security boost. I know Pogipollini used to do titanium bolts, but they were close on a grand a set. Don;t want them that much, black steel or stainless...

    Lazy Gearchange 4200

Have had a bit more work done on Red Shed including a new exhaust by PD Gough in Nottingham who have done a fabulous job. Car now sounds like a 70's Le Mans race car... Have also had a full service done by Shiltech and am much happier that the car is sound. However, I still have a lazy...

    4200 Cats

Been trawling the various posts regarding cats. Have had Red Shed down at Shiltech for a thorough service and to sort some minor problems. Seems my front cats are dying so was wondering what solutions people have come up with to sort this? Don't fancy paying for original Maserati cats, Askew...

    Selling the 4200

Sadly circumstances have forced me into the difficult decision to sell the 4200 we bought last year. It's had loads done to it and is now a very sweet little motor. If anyone is interested in buying it, please PM me for more details. Will be looking for around £17.5k

    Sticky paddle - Suggestions?

The downshift paddle on The Red Shed (4200) has become a tad sluggish, almost as if the spring is asleep. Pretty sure it will be an easy switch if I can get to it, but it may entail removing the steering wheel and and of course - the air bag. Any thoughts?

Wheel Stud Tool - Now on EBAY

Guys Easiest way to sell these was through Paypal, so I've listed the wheel stud tool under "mobility aids" to give you first dibs at buying them. I've made up another 8 studs but they've come in a little more than first thought at £17.50 including postage in the UK. For overseas buyers...
