Update:

Night one in Fougeres is booked all are in the same hotel. They don't have their own parking so it's in the public car park next door. It's a sleepy little medevil town so don't think there will be anything to worry about.

Night 2 in Saumur is proving more difficult. The hotel I wanted didn't want to know so am trying to find another or we may move to another town.

Wayne has installed wifi in the 2 Gites, a blistering 5.5mb and Zep is taking an Apple TV/Kodi and a projector or flat screen TV so you should have some entertainment this year and be able to watch the race.

I am going to ask Guy if he can put a tv in the breakfast area and extend his wifi.

Still waiting to hear back from the Restaurant in Anse Du Brick but that's about it.

4 months tomorrow till the off!

Not much payment from you lot can I remind you it needs paying swiftly and thank you to those who have already paid.

I need to get Le Mans planning wrapped up by the end of Feb so I can start organising the Spanish trip in the Autumn.

Damo looked like a combination of Boiled cr4p and a w4nk that lived that morning ha ha !

He looked worse on the walk to the car park

But I did manage to educate the French. Never have a grill over a windowed cellar above a cash point with a rather ill Bristolian talking to God on the great white telephone!

That property is probably unsaleable.

Happy days and I still have the footwear.

Les Blot has been paid in full today.

I need to pay the ferries and the tickets (before the exchange rate goes up) in the next day of so, so can you please settle your accounts, thanks.

Everybody has a straggler we have the same guy every year and his name is Robert too - it this a personality trait?

Thanks for all the payments guys, there will be a third and final one for the two hotels on the way down.

They are being very French about it and imposing all sorts of caveats, you would have thought they would welcome a large booking but I feel they see it as more of a hinderance.

One hotel were charging us extra 10€ a room to convert all the double beds to twin singles...FFS!

A calculator with an audit role, I haven't seen one of those for years :)

Yep, hence why its shoved at the back of my desk. She does get some use now and again, when I am doing the VAT return usually so I can tick all the invoices off to make sure I haven't missed one.

If you study the picture closely, there is some other interesting stuff in there too...
