Almost pointless forming an opinion on this based on pics. I actually suspect it's ok and it's just the light....colour match looks ok between front wing and bumper in front of the wheel. As others have inferred, it's a relatively pronounced line on these cars and may just be reflecting differently in the photo....as I say, difficult to know from a phtoto - need to see the car to be sure.

Agree Nige, pictures do not tell a true story........Go and see and make your mind up.......

Agree, so I've already arranged some time next week to view it.
the guy just picked up some trolly rash in his local supermarket that he's dealing with, so I will look at the spray shop later in the week.
thanks everyone

Thanks for all the advise guys.
As an update, I've been in contact with the seller since starting this thread, lots of communications later I decided to go for an inspection.
I planned to go to view whilst the inspection was being cat tied out but before I sorted out travel arrangements I asked the guys at Meridien Modena to take a look at the front end and tell me about the colour match.
They came back to me telling me it had indeed been blown in with a less than perfect match. Thats not all though, apparently it's had quite a lot of paint work done to a standard that "does not come up to approved standard". The bonnet has so many small scratches, it looks matt and "probably won't machine polish out".
So I ditched the inspection and viewing.
I'm not slating the seller, he really did come across as genuine, but this ones not for me.
So, the hunt continues.
I'm now in contact with the seller of the gold one, posted by Andyk elsewhere in this section.

Question is, am I asking too much here?
good honest condition (not perfection, I'm looking at a 10+ year old car)
good service history
circa £11k

Cheers all

Mac, I'd say it might be worth looking into the silver one that Andy listed too (on pistonheads) - sounded like a well cared for car.

Agree with that, if I can get a weekend off to look at it I will, trouble is it's in N.Ireland so not around the corner from me.
I'm quite prepared to go that far, but I need to do as much investigation on it as I can from home before I do.
I've contacted the seller but I'm not in a position to get there at the moment (work)

Bit cheeky, but anyone near Co Antrim on here that might help me out by taking a peek for me?

Don't think you are asking too much M..........The trouble is these cars are old and pretty cheap these days and have been for around 5 years or so...People buy them and find them expensive to run so do not do the right as far as service and running them are concerned.............Think thats why the inspection is so important on a 3200........There are some nice cars for sale at the moment but my first call would be to Dicky Grace as he is well trusted on here and even if the car he has is not for you he can probably find a car for you point you in the right direction.....Worth a call....

The gold one does seem a good one though .... But again can only tell once you see it....Good luck.
