Told you when I had my 4200 in Grigio Nuvolari that it's the best colour. You just said it was Jewish Racing Gold.

It looks different on some cars just like some cars suit some colours and some not. There are also a fair few shades of the same colour out there. It looks far better than your 4200 did.

Same colour. Grigio Nuvolari is Grigio Nuvolari.

That's the same colour? Your car definitely had a waft of JRG about it, Geoff. The QP looks very different to my eye.

I'd better stay out of this discussion then!

Can't say I've ever seen mine as gold or anywhere close though. Maybe it was just Geoff's!!

Haha - thanks for all the kind comments on my car. I’ve not had much chance to drive it but enjoyed a trip to and back from Goodwood FOS where one rather excited person exclaimed “I LOVE your car, I just want to lick it” - I guess the golden tint did it for him. It’s certainly an unusual form of grey; more warm and brown than a blue based which would normally be my preference but it seems to work with the wheels. Similarly, I wouldn’t usually go for a cream interior and I’m still of the view that black with carbon fibre works better, but I enjoy it nonetheless.

Mostly, I love the sound, the confounded looks as I pass and people take a double take when they’ve realised the QP made that noise, haha. I think I’ve been bitten as this is my first Maserati. I’ve enjoyed Porsche’s before etc and this is the cheapest “sports” car I’ve bought but it’s by far and away the most fun and deserving of my sentimental attachment; it really is a steal and friends and family can’t quite believe you can buy a car like this for the money, so it’s a smug purchase, for sure.

Thanks again for help from people on here, it’s a great forum.

More likely water ingress into the switch units, both seats share a fuse.

This...drivers window down a lot to listen to that lovely exhaust...drive and the water on the roof pours in and gets in the switch, its very common.

Well done your car looks epic. I also would not put an outdoor cover on it, its just not worth the risks. Movement over the paintwork in the breeze and the risk of moisture being baked by the sun can cause paint sweat. I appreciate there are some great outdoor covers out there but I simply wouldnt risk it.

Enjoy!

Yes, 100% on that. They're trouble. By all means get one and use it on hot days and a specklessly clean car to keep the sun off / keep it clean between a wash and a trip a few days later but, for storage over a few days, just don't. The manufacturers will claim the covers breathe; maybe they do a bit, but not like in the fresh air. I'm also of the opinion that unless you have a big airy garage you're as well to not keep your car somewhere it can't breathe. Nothing like as bad as under a car cover, but you need the air blowing round it.

Third picture looks like a Dick Lovett photo, so presumably retailed by them at some point in its life.
