Can we save that post matt??
I agree with it.....(i like the exc AC bit)

Always a GS for me, i remember our simon b had a silver one with highish miles but would buy that for the 20k mark still.....

That was my car I sold to Si Bradbury, great value but difficult to sell when there's nearly 60k on the clock.

Agreed Dem, there was even a leggy one (mileage) on for just under £20k, the condition looked perfect though.

Sold my GS over a year ago for very late £20's and I recon its still worth the same today.

They will drop at some point but not far as you have the 32's and 42's propping them up.

In 3 years time I see cars starting at:
GTS £40-55k
GT £26-35k
GS £17-24k (GT forcing the price down a bit as I see the GT always commanding a small premium over the GS)
42 £9-14k
32 £5-9k (AC excluded) then I could see the 32 starting to rise from this floor - pristine examples

Lets come back in 3 years and see just how wrong I was!!!

Peering into the crystal ball, I'd say there'll be some overlapping Matt.

The early 4200's will floor at or around the same as the 3200, and a good 3200 (and definitely an AC) will command a better price. The facelift 4200 will be the differentiator.
Similarly the early GT's won't hamper the GS, as they're such different cars. I can see a good GS holding it's price better than the 4.2 GT's.

First Maser i went in, conditions were slippy and Si was near enough sliding around the roundabouts, got the attention of some motorists, it was Dicky's old car.

Some pics attached.

Personally I feel that £26k for a 4200 is a silly sum of money.

However, low mileage ones are a scarce commodity so if the service history is complete (really, really complete at that price) and you will keep the car for a fair few years at sub 5k miles pa then why not.

I owned a 2005 facelift red coupe and loved it but red and a manual gearbox were a hard sell. That said when mine went a year ago, it had 47k on the clock which did not help either.

So much depends on condition and history......if both those excellent it can sway some buyers even if combos not perfect.......big miles shouldn't be a problem though if the former good!

Thanks guys - I've enjoyed and appreciated the discussion.

From what I've gathered red appears to be a bit of a marmite colour. Wonder why? I think it looks cracking in that colour when coupled with a cream interior. After all, that's the classic Ferrari colours which always will fetch a premium.
