I wonder how much it would cost to have a fibre glass manufacture to make a mould and a small run of splitters similar to the splitter shown ,would need a second hand front bumper etc , may be a run of 10 to 20 may work out at £250 to £300 each Iam only guessing but maybe worth a call to some one . What does every one think ?

I know a guy in Stockton .on.Tees who makes fibre glass Alfa panels,Ive used him for years and his work is very good

Hi Dave

Do you think you could give your guy a call and see if he would be interested in this project ,maybe get some ideas on cost etc or pass me his number on and I could call .

Finding a spare front bumper may prove difficult.

What about Chris Basset recently damaged one which is being fixed at Autoshield.

Ross would you give Chris's a pm and see what the situation is . or maybe if we go ahead with this maybe europarts or similar would loan us a second hand one for all the business put there way .

Ok Mav,I'll give him a call tomorrow and see what he says...

But which ever one you go for he'll need a pattern to make a mould, for me the aftermarket Italian version on the spider looks the best

Are these things likely to fit a 3200?

And if anyone has a rear bootlid lip spoiler spare....They'd be a doddle to copy!

Chris is away this weekend and I'm away next week. So may not come back to you for a bit.

Oh, Chris ' car is a Spider. Does it have the same bumper as a Coupe? .

Also, how would we get the bumper from its source to the fabricators?

Ross, the Spyder and coupé classic bumpers are the same as far as I can tell. Mine is/was with Marios at autoshield, but I have no idea if he still has possession of the old bumper, you may want to pm him or give him a call, I'm happy if it can be of help.

Thanks Dave

I am desperate for a boot spoiler to and want to paint it the body colour so the carbon fibre one would be a waste , I know matt was selling one but I think he would be reluctant to lend it to us ,as for the 3200 I am not to sure if there are the same .

Mark, don't suppose you asked about Chris' old bumper?
I did. They think they still have it somewhere but said it's quite badly damaged/split, so wouldn't recommend it as a template because it wouldn't hold the correct shape.

He's well able to repair damaged moulding's so I shoudn't worry....

Hi guys

I called the guy today ,had a really nice chat seems to be a great guy and a bit of a petrol head to .

So the low down is that yes he can replicate the splitter and the boot spoiler but would need a pattern to produce a mould .

Depending on numbers made the boot spoiler would be between £100 to £150 and the splitter sub £400 again the more made the cheaper there would be .

He said that he could work from a damaged or broken one or just needs to borrow one which could be returned undamaged .

So the crunch is is there anyone willing to donate or have a damaged one that could be used to make the mould than returned ,or if we can get enough people who would like to commit we could purchase one and split the cost , I think the latter would work for the boot spoiler but the splitter may prove very costly .

What do you guys think ?

I also have a contact hear in Reading that maybe be able to produce the mould to but I haven't spoken to him yet .

Are you thinking of the Dimex/LeoNardo style front splitter?
I do like it, more so than the complete GS nose.
I'm not sure if it's a complete nose, or add on. If add on I think you must have to cut off the lower section of the original bumper...maybe!
