When I saw my car at Dicky's I was smitten with the Mercury finished wheels and yellow calipers. It does make the car look more aggressive and not at all "dainty". The changes were made by the previous owner Andy & I think he did a great job. I'm hoping she will be a keeper, so maybe one day I'll take them back to the silver. Not sure whether the yellow calipers will look as good against silver though.

Regardless, I love the look and let's be honest, we do it for ourselves first and hope that others will see what we see. If others agree it just adds to our belief - if they don't, then we wonder why!

Yes Malcolm you are right it does give a more aggressive look and I agree with you that mine do look more 'dainty' in silver - never thought I'd describe them as that but you've hit the nail on the head!

Glad that we can have these conversations regarding the differences and how we view them!

Cheers, Simon

im just about to have my 4200 (facelift Argento Luna, the same as SimonCC's ) wheels painted in metallic dark grey as i think sliver with the light blue makes the car look very washed out . So hoping it will fit with my colour and make it look a bit more aggressive . plus contrasting wheels look ok i think . we shall see ;?

Hi Dicky
My car is one of your old ones:

and i looked at those two when trying to decide what colour to do my wheels . i was just going to do them in the maser mercury colour but im not sure if they will suit a 4200 facelift wheel ?

what do you think ?

no more blingy than a sparkle silver i think . it just brighten up the dark paint . its more of shadow silver really

Sparkle silver can be too much IMHO though.
I do like smoke chrome though, black chrome, or whatever they call it?
