Hi Miles,
Yes it was for a while, he has dropped the price by a grand, I told him he would never get £19.5K. I changed my mind to a late 2004 onwards, or nothing. I don't like the idea of the scuttle shake and the car had other issues present before the updates came in. It's really a 2002 car, bar a few days and I think £18.5K is still way too much. I have changed to hunting for a good 4200 I think, prices are a bit more sensible, unfortunately loads of dogs around too. Prices are high for what's on offer, result is loads of cars just sit there and just don't sell, month after month after month, you would think sellers would get the message???
Cheers

it's the flexing of the body on a convertible. You lose a lot a rigidity when you chop the roof off and the resultant shudder through the car when you hit ripples or potholes in the road is scuttle shake. Worse on the pre 04my cars but it is something you get used to; you just accept it and drive through it or you get a coupe.

did'nt suffer any of that with my spyder. drove it like I stole it. ( Dem did drive it for a hundred miles or so, he drove it like ros drove it, same way that urby would have drove it......like there was a dead person in the estate car in front ) it was a fabulous drive.
wheel alignment was perfect, never any vibration back through the steering wheel. throw it into a bend and power out. stuck to the road like sh1t to a blanket. Benny I think it was you who asked me if the suspension was modified, when it was next in the shop I asked them to check. everything was as it left the factory, bog standard.

Andy..........back scuttling.........so this would only have been likely to happen at high speed in reverse ?

I liked it, i do like the delivery of power being there all the way as suppose to waiting for turbos to kick in but then again when turbos do kick in the 3200 feels faster.....

I did like the CC box ahead of the auto and manual 3200

Went on the M3 so never saw or tested the handling but overall ye i liked it!!

I wish I could find one at the right price and year, I would have it. If I could find say a late 2004 with all the mod's done and at a sensible price, it would be mine.
