4200GT full body kit

Hi

Has anyone had experience of buying and fitting the fibre glass body kit found on eBay (company is polish)

I do like the GT look but concerned at the trouble getting it fitted and resprayed and wondered if anyone else has done or looked into this.

To be honest, body kits and Maserati are not something that is really done, they are not that type of car. Better left standard.

What is acceptable is to chance an early car to late model such as GranSport skirts and bumpers, if you can find them.

Good luck in your search.

Well apart from the rear lights ( PS. This is not another 4200/3200 bashing thread!)

Another one for standard.....Rarely do body kits improve the look of a Maserati.

One of our French forum members did this on a Cat C 3200. Quite an achievement esp with the front bumpers being different.

However I have real doubts the kit is of a decent quality...and more importantly what do the Polish know about style?????

The car is so beautiful and timeless that I think any body kits detract from the design. That colour is just stunning though.

As he got rid of the top bumper/wing joint, I wonder why didn't he get rid of the bottom one as well. That would have given the front a really clean look (apart from the naff front bumper).

Perception. Body kit gives the impression that the modified car goes faster than the standard car.

Reality. Body kit adds weight to the car, which makes it go slower.
