Just watching Wheeler Dealers with Ant doing a Bronco while eating my dinner

Saw that on Monday, why does Ant always wear those ridiculous rigger boots, he's not on a building site with some iminent concrete lintel about to fall on his toes

I always wear steel toe caps in the garage they’re great for resting engines on, stopping cars rolling away and generally returning to the safety of the kitchen with all bits still attached.

Which avr are we refering to, alien reproduction vehicle, armoured recovery vehicle, armed robotic vehicle, advanced re-entry vehicle or armed response vehicle??

Armed Response.
'Ant is a car nut, he has been building bespoke cars since he was a kid and after two commendations for bravery, his career as one of the UK’s youngest armed police officers came to an end when he was just 25, and Ant followed his passion into the car world. '

LOL...not sure. Maybe it's a comfort/habit thing. To be honest I often wear by DeWalt boots when working in the garage/cars. I think H&S dictates steel toe caps does it not so maybe that is the reason.

Watched the old Cerbera episode with a whole new chassis featuring Edd China and thought to myself, I actually prefer Ant's style. Maybe you just prefer what you know.

Since travelling to Japan last year, we have been watching each sumo tournament. The current tournament in Osaka is behind closed doors without any spectators. Initial thoughts were this is horrible and eearily silent, but over the last 12 days started to enjoy the purity it brings and the sounds that are normally lost in the cacophony of noise that accompanies each bout.

I like both Edd and Ant equally but they both have very different styles. Both very enjoyable to watch and I'm always learning from both so win win.

Back to OP, it's not just restaurants closing we have closed all our stores both in Ireland but also our group businesses in UK, Holland & Canada including Selfridges. Its not for rent reasons as we own most of the properties outright, including Selfridges London site (I hate to think what that is worth, a full block on Oxford St. We are focussing on our digital channels and shifting stock that way but even though sales are up its only 20% of the business overall which will leave a big gap in the numbers over time.

been watching the new CAR SOS, last nights was on a healey 3000 and what a stonking great resto as well, this is by far the best programme and they certainly don't skimp any corners on any of the work, they've done some real basket cases, I see fuzz also wears rigger boots:eek:, some of the restos are actually quite emotional/sad and must admit have welled up, remember the yellow Lancia integrale and the owner died before it got finished, nutter tim cracks me up with his crazy driving and hand brake parking

I would much rather have one of their restos than a Wheeler Dealer one any day of the year, and as you say they are all for a good cause 'Scot Free' rather than making a quick buck!

Didn't one well-off chap get his Aston DB5 restored then he flogged it?
