Absolutely no contest Phil and you know it!

As much as I like my QP and new Masers like the GT they can't hold a candle to the 3200, it's the last of the proper old school Maserati's from the bygone era, has all the quirks and weirdness that just made all those ones seem right somehow and gives you more of a driving involvement than anything else. It has the propensity to kill you whereas the GS is just too safe in the way it grips and delivers power. Nothing will compete with a 3200 for me but that is purely my opinion, sure there will be lots of GS owners who won't agree but that's fine.

There's was a right up in the Classic Car Weekly last week between the 3200 Maser and the Jag XKR

It was pretty rubbish though as some of the facts were all wrong...the old Maser came out on top!

Yep proper lacking guts at low revs too! Sings above 3k though! Cannot compare with the torque of the 3200

They will throw in the curve ball with the 4200!

Then you get into the which variant of the 4200. The 3200's 4200's and Gransports all have their own merits and charms.

3200's torque and lights. That's tail lights and dashboard CEL lights :jptongue:

4200's early model against the face lift versions argument will always be a subject for debate as will interior against the GS interior and throttle blip on change down in the facelift against the non blip software versions.

Gransport's Running boards, wheels and interior and hooligan exhaust valves.

Can I just have one of each please :)

There all great cars each with their own issues. I bought a 4200 based on head rather than heart which is unusual for me but nothing has made me think I made the wrong decision. Each to their own is my view
