I'd like to put my name down for this please. And after the carting yesterday I think I am our own captain slow.
How many people can one bring to the event.

How many people CAN you bring? Does that answer it? :)

I think attendance was over 24000 in 2014, not sure how many went last year, but that should give you an idea of the scale. Doesn't matter if you bring 1 or 10 with you - the more people you bring, the more they will raise for the charity.

Lol, wonder if there ever been such a thing as a slow race???

Yes; at the BMF (British Motorcycle Federation) National Rally way back in 82 or 3 I was winning the slow race by a country mile when the clutch overheated on my trusty CZ 250 taking me out of the race!

Brilliant Stevo...Thanks for coming along...

It is a charity event held by Asda. You come along and get a free track day at Brunty while taking passengers around the track for £5 a ride. As it is by invitation only you do not need a crash helmet asn anyone can go around with you......infants, children, teenagers, adults...so anyone.....

It is a great event that we have been doing for a number of years now and is very satisfying to see the joy you put on your passengers faces. It is a massive event these days with lots of attractions for the family. Punters get to drive articulated lorries, buses etc around the track and there are air displays, fair ground, rally stages, stunt shows, etc......Good day out for all.

Last year the event raised I believe 58k and Sports Maserati 3k ........

More info to follow...

All,

Just could do with some feed back on the track from last year please. Do you feel the track was swept enough before the event. I know a few years back this was a concern but I cannot remember many complaints this year......More about the sighting laps at the beginning...Was it as issue?

Just want to feed back to John as a number of clubs have raised this as a concern.......I thought it was better this year but I never went out of the beginning.

I didn't get out last year but was right behind MAF on the sighting lap the year before. Even though the track had been swept it was still like being pebble dashed. That said, I was the only one who really noticed anything so perhaps the lesson is to not chase too hard up MAF's chuff..

Did we have any windscreen cracks or stone chips on any cars this year....You will always get stone chips jot matter what track you go on but was it worse this year for anyone?

There were a lot of stones on the back straight. I had a lot of road rash. It did need to be swept better.
