Frank, not Peter... I remember making the same mistake when out on a date when I was a young lad in my 20s (when I used to get regular dates) - she didn't see me again though... Not Frank or Peter of course, Mandy or Mavis or something..... :blushed:

Hahahaha, lovely thread drift there and she is always nice to drool over Frank..!!
Insurance, it's all in the small print, some are a total pain, it sometimes is worth paying an extra £50 to go with one that's reliable and trouble free..!!

Focus! as my Mexican wife says...

Getting it back to insurance, just got my renewal quote from Admiral, £557from their multicar for the 4200CC and Seat Ibiza plus and extra £134 to put Mrs MLC on the Seat, who hasn't got a full UK license yet! I'm quite chuffed with that.

Martin my wife tells me the same ;-))

I'm also with Admiral for a multi-car policy, and my 4200 is only £260, so your quote although decent does seem a little high. Not like Bournemouth is the Bronx, nice relatively safe and trouble-free area I would have thought..

Further to my last (It was £557 +£134 to put Mrs MLC on the SEAT alone) I've spoken to Admiral and they have 'massaged' the figures to £542.33 with her on, I've changed my trade from Electronic Engineer to Airport Manager, upped the mileage to 8000 for both cars and both to fully comp and put her on the SEAT.

However I went online to Aviva put the same details in and they came up with £476 originally with Mrs MLC on BOTH cars! Now here's the clincher they ask if you want Motor Legal Protection on and it's £27 PER car. I phoned them up today and and told them that my car is a Coupe and not a Spyder as they had it put motor legal and NCD protected on both cars and it shot up to £596! I went back online and changed the details of the car myself without Motor Legal and it's now £495 albeit with a high Excess of £350=£500 compulsory excess and NCD unprotected.

So for cheap insurance I can get it under £500 but I won't have a hire car, NCD protection, motor legal protection. But on the other-side I don't need a hire car to get to work ( I have the other one and a pushbike) and I'm looking into getting the Motor Legal through a separate company, any suggestions?

Full no claims, full comp for me and the wife, 40 year olds living in Chichester, 1 claim 4 years ago, £330 on a GranSport, NCD protected...which I thought was amazing.
