I'm a leftie and am one of those weirdos who has always worn a watch on my right wrist. This thing about winders is just an anti-lefty conspiracy but then

a) how many watches need winding these days?
b) don't you take it off to adjust the time in any event?

Well my purchase from the Christopher Ward sale arrived this week. It is the first CW watch I have bought and I am impressed with the quality of it.

It seems when I wear my automatic watches every day the one I wear develops a fault after a time so hopefully this will keep the automatics for occasional use.

Also value wise I won't be so gutted if I knock it or mark it as it was 50% off.

Very nice, came close several times to buying the same in their sale.......but with 2 CW watches in green already even I balked at a third!

That is lovely....my favourite model from CW.......May have to go for the red Italian one at some stage.

I like the (new, non-trident) 5 day manual wind one but can't justify it at full price. Will have to keep an eye out for it in the sales - but as it isn't released yet that will be a while.

I got this from Chris Ward last sale. 40% sale discount and no VAT!

That's one of the problems I have with them, I can't work out of it's a cheap watch being sold at £350 then reduced to £250 so I think I've got a bargain or a quality timepiece being sold at a cut out the middle man price, it's not really a brand anyone has heard of, I've never seen one for sale in a high street shop for example

I do own one but I bought it from gumtree for £110 which is about as much as I want to spend on watch that isn't one of the big brands, omega tag etc

They are not on the high street. I believe they do that to keep the prices down and as you say cut out the middle man. They do now have one shop I believe. i see them as a quality brand but a sale every 5 mins sort of dents that a bit.....Good for us buyers though. They do tend to advertise in EVO and other car mags which I think is why the petrol head likes them and knows of them.
