I'm now hoping to make this, but may need to leave early...not sure what your plan for the day was, but I' be grateful if we could do some DA polishing learning when I'm there!

Cheers

Rossyl - I think this is the main point that everyone wants so you should be OK

think MAF was looking to bring his DA, think this would be a good idea - so if any of you have DAs or Rotary bring them a long, I have a few pads you can use on the day.

so thinking about time we'll have for the mornings:
- overview on basic do's and don'ts
- da v rotary
- difference compounds
- saftey / burn through

if anything you guys have any other points you want covered lets us know

Hmmm - Is it worth me coming if I need to leave by about 10am? Or do you think I'm best waiting till we have another session?

I would have thought you would need at least a couple of hours to cover all the basics for everyone, then a bit of a practice..??

rossly i would say if you can make it, great and we'll cover off as much we can before you need to go but will be dependant on what the group wants, we could catch up on anything missed with Roger on a sunday morning

ok all...tomorrow morning bootcamp time, i try and get onsite at 8:30 (start setting up) i think due to time we will then start around 9am

as i said before this is open to what you guys want to cover, one thing i would like to cover is the dos and donts (prep) - if this isn't right then no point machine polishing which i think will be the main topic

please bring any thing you want to test with

i think we have 4 or 5 coming - great see ya all tomorrow morning

Sorry guys, I will not be able to make it that early as I will not get home in Bristol until 09:00.

Have a great morning.

I think I'm trying to squeeze too much in, a 3 hour round trip for under an hour's worth of your good company seems a bit much.

I will hope that we can find somewhere for a repeat session.

Have a great time guys, gutted I cannot make it.

shame but it looks like it. I'm still keen, but if you feel it's not worth your while, would understand.

Likewise, so please confirm if this is going ahead or being rescheduled. My alarm clock is set for way earlier than I usually prefer on a Saturday morning!

A great morning, very informative. Big thanks to Darren for taking the time to talk us through and demonstrate how to do things properly. Thanks also to Sacha (nice to meet you) for organising the venue and car to practice on.
Whilst a shame that more members couldn't make the session, it meant that Sacha and I got even more of Darren's time!

Thanks Darren - extremely informative, and it has given me confidence to give machine polishing a go on my less important car... good to meet you both, and hopefully see you again for the possible Dyno Day (I will post a separate thread on that).

Sloblock: I missed it! Hope you all had fun!

Shiny bright thing pictures...?

no pictures, I made sure they were working :) its was a great morning and Brian was great to provide this setup for us - I was surprised when showing the guys how you can burn through paint how difficult it was on the demo car - did get smoke coming from the panel :)

I do have one more session that I said I'm OK to do, was looking to do this at mine but could do this at another location were we can get a few more and get a test panel again if poss

options / suggestions ?
