To be fair to FD, their DBW module is a hard-wire addition that is switchable and is running without fault in many dozens of Tridents around the world. Its benefits have been recorded on all the Trident fora. In addition FD have been enormously beneficial to and supportive of the Maserati community.

We are hearing all the right things from DMS, but one step at a time........

True......Miles...............but DMS are now moving quite quickly as regards doing newer Masers too.................gotta be very good to get added to newish cars!

P, I have watched this thread with interest. However, my discs are in good condition but the pads leave a bit to be desired.

Spoke with Rob (DMS0 briefly last night he sent me these just to wet the appertite, the porker was his car against the 599

He was saying the MC stradale usually comes with anywhere between 430 to 447 bhp this one left with 498 bhp

He said and rightly so was a bit wary at take off and lost a few car lengths, at first but on the back straight he let her have it and finished up a good 10 lengths in front of the 599 kin awesome if you ask me

I am in if I buy a used 4.2 GT. Won't bother doing the 4200GT as it will be gone within the year.

I had DMS do my 535d a few years back. They came to me. Downside is no dyno but upside is no hassle. Results were impressive but that was a turbo.

I would be interested to know the chance of the map being over written unintentionally during a service.

They said they would reflash you if a problem occured....not so sure if a mistake made etc....Loz?

We have already discussed this Bob, so as a preventative precaution advise that everyone who has it done places a note /sticker on the sd2/3 plug that no updates should be carried out without the express consultation with the owner , failing that part of the guarantee is that he offers a free travel to you re-flash

Exactly Frank?bob , if a car has the remapp , then any good tech worth his salt can work around it , past problems re cc set up is that early on there were too many techs with just not enough knowledge of the sd2/3 that were belligerent button pushers , the worst kind , hopefully now that its been around a few years it being understood a little more
