Folks, knowledgeable advice requested: I have found to my cost that the rear wheel bearings for early (2002) 4200s are different from later versions in that the resistance of the ABS sensor is 1.4 ohms whereas later in that year it changed to 1.7 ohms. If you fit a later bearing although it works as a bearing, you get ABS and other warning lights. (Part number for the correct bearing is 185564). However, can anyone who genuinely knows or has done it themselves please tell me if you can convert a later bearing by swapping over the ABS sensor ring (or is the other part of the ABS that is fixed on the bearing different)?
