Had the passenger seat out and checked for bad connections, all looks fine, disconnected the battery for a couple of hours while working on the seat.

Doesn't matter which position the passenger airbag switch is in the light is still on.

Checked every fuse in the engine bay fusebox and the ones to the right of the steering wheel. All fine, fusebox dry as a bone with no sign of corrosion.

Still getting "electrical failure" and "airbag system failure" along with the passenger seat belt off symbol. Tried having someone sit in the passenger seat, no difference.

Need to find a mobile auto electrician who can do a proper analysis.

Is it the yellow symbol with the baby seat and airbag?

As per the far right on the second picture? On the GS it flashes rapidly on ignition and goes out..if no fault. The seatbelt symbol may be the cause of the issue?

It is the yellow child in the seat symbol. It stays on whichever position the switch is in. Tried having someone sitting in the passenger seat, no different.

Another mobile auto electrician came out this afternoon and his reader detected and deleted a bunch of old codes, still got the faults showing up on the dashboard though.

He was the guy who quickly diagnosed which parking sensor had failed last time we had a problem.

Stumped now!!

No, it stays on when the ignition is turned on and when the engine is started and running.
just checked mine. Ignition on - the yellow (passenger) airbag light comes on for 4 seconds, then blinks rapidly before going out.
