hey guys, once we have a good idea of numbers and the dates ill see what can be sorted out for the Alfa/Busso Museum.
im making no promises they will open it up for us, its been closed for the past 5 years and they have only opened it up once before for me but ill see what can be done :)
if last winter is anything to go by then Stelvio might be open but agree other options need to be in place,
RE Me:-, If its the second week of April then as long as someone can grab a lift into France then i can have them in my car once we meet up, if its the 3rd week of April and i can make it back out, then ive nps picking up at a meeting point in the Uk and doubling up in my car.

I was planning on doing my "Passes" tour last September but work got in the way. I have 4 different routes across France, Switzerland and Italy taking in all the good roads (if open) and the on to Modena and marenello.

Its anything between 1700 and 3000 miles (home and back) depending if you include the Col de Turini on the way back, Cortina half way through or Annecy (Parc Massif). 4 car museums, 11 passes, a Glacier, 10 tunnels, a serious amount of petrol and Matt Munro on the Stereo!

I have the routes in Excel and 1 in TomTom format if anyone wants them PM me. There will be a few passes closed in April though, but Stelvio is only one of many.

God I'm tempted by this but finances aren't half tight (as is time - doing things for oneself when you have 3 young kids is always an emotive decision). Let me have a chat with my young whippersnapper nephew and see if he fancies it. He may even have his GTS by then in which case the temptation will be even greater! Will keep you posted Matt and I'll defo be keeping an eye on this thread...
