I don’t usually bother with F1 as it’s usually a procession of cars but decided to watch tonight as it’s an important race and a new track. I thought Max had more than a fair throw of the dice and yet Hamilton still manages to win. Good race,
It will be interesting to see if Max gets penalised more for the shunt when slowing for Hamilton to pass…

Well, you can have your opinion and I will have mine…That’s the joy of life ….. We all see something different but I for one would love to see a British driver crowned the most successful driver of all time and Hope Lewis gets that title this year…..Then next year I will be support Norris and Russel to win.

I don’t care who wins as long as it’s won fairly. If you can’t see that that was blatantly fixed you are either blind, gullible, stupid or unconcerned. I’d like to think you were unconcerned but, after that debacle, F1 is dead to me.

Well it’s certainly a very difficult track to race,as even F2 race was red flagged and cancelled due to incidents.
lots of controversial incidents but I find Verstappen sometimes over aggressive.

How did Verstappen get a fair throw of the dice? After the start he was forced off the track by Shamilton and had to cede the place on the next start. He got past again and was the was told to cede the place again, he braked to let him past and Sham drove into the back of him. He was then told to cede the place again which he did and then cleanly overtook Sham into the next bend. He was then fined 5 seconds and told to cede the place again which he did and was then told by his crew that he didn’t need to cede the place as well. To me, having watched the race, that smacks of a deliberate fix to make the last race even more ‘exciting’ for the gullible idiots that are still watching. They can all f*ck off and yank someone else’s chain, F1 is now, officially, a cheap circus.

Lol, glad you enjoyed it too. I’ll look forward to the finale.

For me I lost the interest in F1 over 10 years ago now apart from watching the Netflix documentaries that's about my limit.

Well a race full of incidents and arguments but they both go into the last race level although if both fail to finish Max wins takes the title.

For my tuppence, Max is just too aggressive he is driving like they did in the 70s & 80s where anything was accepted to be in front but all the other drivers don't drive that way today and the rules don't allow it.

The penalties do seem to be a bit inconsistent but gaining a place whilst outside track limits (however you got there) this should be an immediate cede the place back, all the teams then contest it and by the time the decision is made it is difficulty to decide who should be where. IMO drivers and teams should apply the penalty as defined and then argue later, however you argue it Max on at least2 occasions gained by being of the track and IMO he put himself in that position not the other drivers.

Max showed his true colours by walking off the podium like a petulant brat, and that comes through on his track antics. That said, it gets a bit ridiculous when there's constant judgements and appeals being made during a race; if a driver is repeatedly out of order don't give them a time penalty, give them a one race ban and they'll learn the error of their ways much quicker.

One thing can't be argued is that Max and Lewis are in a different league to the others, pulling away to a 20 plus second gap from the rest week on week
Max, Dutchman born in Hasselt, Belgium, is really taking it to Lewis, The Briton born in Stevenage. Now we're at the point of the season where calmness and serenity is required and I can't see Max being calmer than Lewis, the man from Hertfordshire.

Max did brake test Lewis. The stewards looked at the data and he hit the the stop pedal which caused a 2.4g deceleration. All he got was another 10 second penalty and 2 points on his license which was no penalty at all.
And he also got the message to let Lewis by over a minute before he slowed.
