Bloody **** that is just lovely. Still looks amazing after all these years. I remember when you could pick a used one up for 17k...Those days are long gone.

I was thinking the same thing, it wasn't too many years ago that they were in the teens

Don't you just wish you had bought one then....

Hindsight is the only time we are guaranteed to have 20/20 vision Andy ;) just think about all those toys you ripped out their boxes as soon as you got them and how much silly money they can be worth now........seen an article recently on boxed original Star Wars stuff and some of it is worth thousands!

3200's will be in similar price ranges in the next ten years or so.

I'm not normally bothered about prices since I don't give two hoots if prices go up, stay the same or fall. my plan remains, and has always been to drive marci for another 2 years, do the big chain service then semi retire her only coming out for the odd show now and then. However, I actually agree with you Phil. Prices might rise a little over the next few years but the telling time frame I think will be the 25 year import rule for the yank market since I think there a few marque lovers over there just waiting on 2023 coming round to be able to legally drive a boomerang maser over there......but that aside I still think the 32 is in a good place to rise with it being the last with a Maserati engine before the drive changed over to a ferrari engine and the last with the traditional twin turbos. And before Benny says it, yes the 42 and GS were more "sorted" cars out the blocks, but most if not all the issues with the 32 have been sorted making the reliability question moot IMO.

Indeed, hindsight is great - I test drove a Lancia Rally, the road going version of the 037, which was for sale at £15k in the mid 90s and decided I would prefer a Fiat Coupe instead - woops ...

That is my old car. I paid £12,500 for it about 3 years ago and then sold it for £36,500 last summer. It's in superb condition, as good as any other UK Cup, so I'd happily recommend it to any interested party.

But if I'm to have another Cup, I want it in red next time (having already done black, silver and blue).

Stunning, always liked the cups, a very understated car and a very shrewd buy for some one

Hi Ewan, any more info on this car as the previous owner? The price is a bit of reach for me but I could be tempted to stretch the budget if it's in good condition. Yes ideally it would be red for me too but with only 25 RHD cups, beggars can't be choosers and you could be waiting a LONG time for another. It's in Hertfordshire too so not too far from me, seriously tempted to have look.

Go and see it. It's in concours winning condition. You simply won't find a better UK Cup. And feel free to call Myles at Emblem (who did lots of work on it for me) or Andy at McGraths (who worked on it for the current owner). The owner before me was a lovely chap, a surgeon in Surrey. He had it for about 12 years and used the main dealer, Meridien Modena.

If you want a Cup, whether to use or just as an investment, you'd be daft not to at least view it.

With an endorsement like that, it's a car not to be missed - best get stretching that budget!
