A massive thank you to Voicey. I am so glad he inspected it and highlighted some issues. All cars have them, its just better to know about them in advance and make an informed opinion. Although fine now, she will need a clutch and some front tyres in the next shortly. I was going to walk away but managed to get the cost of the clutch knocked off the sale so I felt that I achieved and excellent deal.

So how do I feel....a kid on Xmas morning. Yesterday MAF commented I didn't look excited. In truth it was apprehension holding that back. For me its a massive financial commitment and all I wanted to do was get it home and detail it as the surface was covered in contaminate. I washed and then used my clay mitt thats been sitting in the garage....WOW, its brilliant. The paintwork is like glass now. Luckily its been SupaGaurded so I think that helped.

All the wheels are unmarked and hardly any stone chips, I think its been redone recently.

Interior is unmarked and even the bolster on these very difficult to get in to seats are excellent.

So how is it?

I am not going to compare it against a 4200/GS as they are just so different animals and having had 3 4200 derivatives I love them dearly.

What doesn't come across in the pics is just how menacing the thing is. Its huge and just looks evil and that its about to pounce even when standing still.

Interior, well, I am not a fan of Alcantara but I must admit it does suit the car and adds to the overall feel, so yes, I do like it. I may fit the cage but we will see.

Drive. WOW!
I was not expecting it to me much different to past Masers, GTS included but the bottom line it is.

The power is savage, the turn in amazes and the clutch change is epic. In a word its hardcore and a progression from anything I have had before.

Negatives, the exhaust. I may have sticking valves as I had heard that the Strad in RACE is epic but its not that loud it makes a lovely sound but I suppose I have been spoilt with modified exhausts of past. It will be rectified in time.

Overall, smitten!

Matt, I am over the moon for you. It looked a great price before you got money off. Not sure we will see another 2 seater Stradale at that level.....It looks amazing and it's is so right on them. Enjoy and I hope I get to see her in the flesh sometime in the future.....Just having a coffee in a coffee shop and showed the Italian waiter. Though he was going to pee himself with excitement...His dream car.

Wow nice appraisal Matt and look forward to the next installment.
White suits the car in my opinion.

Dream car for most of us Andy and it's a nice feeling that we have experienced Race mode especially.

Agree Phil...That drive in Merrians Stradale was one that will stick with me and feel lucky to have driven such a stunning car.

Well done! Yeah white is the best colour, although I might be a little biased! Epic cars, enjoy her!

Brilliant! Nice work, Matt, well done. Interested in your exhaust comment. I was next to a Strad at the Silverstone Classic the other year and even with his in race, mine with the x-pipe sounded much, much better. The Strad needs an x, no doubt.

Your comments on handling and gear change worry me. They worry me because if I try a Strad I may be smitten. You should try mine with its 'enhanced' TCU and see how it compares. I'd imagine yours is far more aggressive, a more assertive kick in the **** gear-change when you're really pushing on. Can't wait for Le Mans to find out.

Again, top bloody job. I'm delighted.

Great work Matt. I think I can understand your feeling. It is a mixture of joy, excitement, apprehension while being a little scared and out of your comfort zone also feeling maybe a lite selfish. It is the right thing to do for sure. Very brave, applauded & you are only here once so enjoy it.

It is a great deal & a great example. Spot on for me in the colour and combo. It has to be alcatara for me and the roll cage with belts will add another level. Looking forward to a ride in it when the moons align.

Enjoy & relax....it is the right thing to do....don't worry about the money!

Looking rather lovely there Matt. Big decision, as your GS was a beaut, but definitely worth it. Look forward to seeing it in the flesh.

Great start to the weekend for you, I've seen one on the flesh and yes it does look menacing but in a nice way. Looks lovely in white.

Well done boss.

We've already discussed the car in depth but I know what you mean about the exhaust note & I'm sure it's to do with what you've been used to. I came from a MC-SHIFT with full Larini and was a little under shelled, plus you lose the pops & crackles on the Stradale but the X sorts it out perfectly.

Well done, welcome to the club & enjoy,!

Knew you would do it in the end and get rid of that ageing mistress for a much younger and more beautiful model! Looking forward to seeing her in the flesh and riding the **** out of her :D
