As i've put, there isn't anything to discuss. What I can see is very clear, and I'll quote the post in the pm to you, "young man dont bring your opinions around here".

Fundamentally, if people do not like my comments, block me, ban me, ignore me whatever. I wont lose any sleep.

No not really.

I'm sure they are an exceptional stopping tool. I am clearly not in the financial position to be able to warrant spending the huge uplift compared to steel discs and appropriate pads. The majority of car owners, myself included will never need a carbon ceramic disc as brake fade is not something we would experience on a day to day basis. Thus, kudos to anyone who has them, they are very cool, but completely unnecessary on any road car.

when i was looking at V8V's, I actively avoided anything the CCD's.

You are right (hey how’s that for an opening?), however most things in the cars we buy are completely unnecessary, we just buy them because it makes us feel good.

That's why I think they are cool. :boss:

It is completely unnecessary for me to have ruined my Megane in terms of comfort and practicality, just so I can drive it around in circles every once in a while. I then have to justify it to most people who wonder why it makes silly noises and why the brakes are so bloody big. Completely pointless in terms of what I need on a day to day. Otherwise, lots of fun and i get to say, hey my brakes are as big as that maseratis. Whoopy :D

I am working on the basis that you want to come here so want to help you. At least we know no one is going to lose any sleep.

I wouldn't unnecessarily spend my time if I didn't think it was a good place to do so. Some people will like me, others wont, others wont care. Its the internet.

They were on there when I got it. Zero additional cost compared to the steels (which weren't an option). They were, according to my man-maths calculator, free.

Am certain, Master Spoon, if someone gave you free ceramics for your ultra souped up Frogmobile, then we would see them on your car at your local show... Each to his own.
