How do people go from Maserati to anything else?

RE how do people go from Maserati's to other brands - simple - you sell the Maserati for a German car, you say wow - I can't believe how quiet/ smooth/ refined/ solid etc the car feels and how it doesn't give you anxiety - you're ok for 2-3 days - you go on your phone or go on sportsmaserati.com and see one of the pictures that someone posted - you regret the day you sold the Maserati - you go on autotrader/ pistonheads - you trade your German car in for a Maserati - then repeat the cycle

There is another option: Have a German beast and an Italian V8 Sophia Loren and Claudia Cardinale and admire them and have a choice which to ride on a nice sunny day!

I have a bit of a soft spot for Japanese performance cars I really wanted a R34 Skyline GT-R but they shot over 30k by the time I had the budget to afford what they used to be worth which was about 20-23k for a slightly scruffy MY2000 fresh import. Toyota Supra RZ (twin turbo) manual was already silly money also let alone what a UK model is worth now!

Anyway considering ny love of japanese super coupes the new Lexus LC has caught my adoration it is very well styled inside and out. The reviews are coming back glowing; I think in a few years time I can see one parked next to the 4200, ideally the V8 but in this day and age the hybrid would make sense if I want to keep the 4200 indefinitely
.
Not the best colour but they are arriving on stock:http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201710130261498?atmobcid=soc3

Agree on the Lexus....A very striking design. They have got this one just right design wise.

That Lexus... Dunno. Doesn’t do it for me. Too fussy. Doubtless accomplished, but the design and all those flashes and lights just jars. I’ve seen a few in the Middle East and want to like them, but can’t. They look better in blue, imho.

Saw my first ever LFA on the local ring road yesterday...looked ok but it did not stand out...probably because it was in white.

I guess the LFA is quite old now & not a new age supercar like the current crop. Most attraction seems to be that amazing engine more than anything else. I'd love to be in that driving seat with the aural delights at full tilt.

LFA in a bright colour. One of my dream cars. Yes it is old but it is a future classic if it isn't one already.

What do you go to from an MC Shift? To your grave I think.

If I wasn't going to go Italian again next then I would be into an M5/RS6 again or such like as they are what I owned prior to Tridents and I loved them, proper drivers cars which involved and engaged. You can get into an F10 M5 now for sub £30k and that is a lot of performance and practicality all wrapped up in one. The engine is good for 700 hp and will embarassas supercars....

Just wondered after owning a Maser, how do people change to anything else?

I went in the weekend to test drive a few cars as I'm looking to change. Was looking for a saloon but something pokey so had a look at the Audi S8 Plus. Absolute beast of a car. It was better in every way, more space, more power, more torque, more tech, more everything. But after all was done, I got into the Maser and something just clicked. *£$* me i dont know what it was. Even tried a Continental GT earlier and that was just absolute tosh.

I need to change though I dont know what to. Was just having a look at the Quattroporte. Its not much more of a car but its still a Maserati.

What have people got after owning Maseratis?

You obviously have a problem my friend , keep the maser and get s Alfa !! Nothing better prob solved

In all honesty I don't know and am in the same predicament as you. I'm looking at Strads but need the right colour ie Med Blue or Yellow which don't come up often. The other option is Cali for something different..... who knows, I ain't rushing as I am enjoying the GTS still.

Sometimes I think of a AM v8 vantage, but I don't know if the running cost would be much higher than my gransport. Does anybody have experience on that? Thanks!
