Yeah I have - Have put 22K down on the car but they say they will keep it advertised until i transfer the rest next week !!

Not that impressed with them to be honest - It's been dragging on, in fairness due to me not having the funds from a few of my debtors ........ they keep promising "next week, next week" ............ moral of story = never lend significant sums of money to friends !!
I've not even got a slip of paper saying I have paid anything to Cortese Bath, no email confirming receipt, just a few pestering phone calls from Nick and him saying they will keep the car advertised :0

Anyway, one of the debtors has 500K coming in on the 13th so it'll be sorted then (without fail)
I'll post pics when I have her home and tucked up in the garage :)

Dealers seem to vary in how flexible they are re deposits etc. When I was buying mine, Graypaul wouldn't hold a car for four weeks with a 10K deposit , insisted I had to take out a finance deal and pay it off a month later. On the other hand, Carrs were happy to sell me a car for 10K down and the rest when I collected the car in 4 weeks. Both main dealers; guess who I bought from...? Perhaps they get burned by people backing out, but given the length of time some of their stock hangs about I'd have thought they should be glad to help the customer out.

I know that I gave £1000 deposit to Cortese when I bought mine and that was non refundable according to them...

Sounds fair enough, so long as they give you ALL the deposit back should they sell It.

They're in the business of making money and until you've paid in full, It's not sold IMO.

I wouldn't worry too much if it was me, can't imagine they're selling like hot cakes, and even if it does sell, you get to shop around :)

I bought my QP from Cortese and touch wood, it's been great. However, as I've mentioned before, they didn't cover themselves in glory on the extended warranty issue....

What's the story there, then?

I bought a GranSport from them a few years ago, but it was only a year old so had the manufacturer's warranty of course.

Basically I paid an extra £1k to get an extended warranty. 9 months later when I rang the warranty company to check whether a few minor items were covered, they had never received the paperwork or payment to set the policy up. Despite much toing and froing, Cortese never sorted it or refunded the payment. That's it in a nutshell....

Sounds like Cortese are a bit lax on the paperwork and do not really care what happens after they have been paid, not one I would lkie to deal with.

I think it's a bit of a 'marmite' colour to be honest. I think it works well though:

Blox, I think it really suits the QP more than it does on the other models......Stunning I say....Just love the GT wheels they real set the car off.......When they first came out I didn't like them..strange how tastes change....Now its the only wheel to have on a QP...

Don't fancy joining us on track do you......It really is safe and fun and you get to see how you car performs away from the roads.......PLus Enzo will be on track with his QP so you will be in good company...

Cheers guys.

Andy - I think I will just come and suss it out this time but thanks for the offer. Never done a track day before so it will be good to get an introduction to how it all works. Also, I've seen some of the posts about new tyres, brake pads etc ! Looking forward to it though. I will definitely bring a camera !

That's criminal. And they wouldn't refund you?

Sure I've seen your car in Bristol before.
