Sure I've seen your car in Bristol before.

Similar thing has happened to a good friend after buying his first Porsche Boxter, he paid £500 to extend the included 3 months warrantee to 12.
The paperwork came through and he discovered his £500 only covered for a maximum claim of £1,000 in any one claim. He thought that was pretty useless so he rang up the warrantee company and cancelled the cover. Several weeks later he phoned them again to ask where his refund was...the reply was they only refund to the arranging garage (most likely only a few 100, the rest commission...) and they said they don't refund cancelled policy's!!
Good friend could not believe how nice they where when they where selling the car to him...and how they changed when the sale was complete and over...
He managed to reinstate the policy, for what it's worth.
