Renewal invitation for my QP and my Triumph TR6 from Adrian Flux came in at £969 a few days ago. I rang Keith Michaels and their quote for the QP was £783. Tried several others but all have yet to ring back.

Finally contacted Classic Line and they came back with £674.74 for both cars including breakdown and £250 XS & £75 windscreen on the QP (5000 miles pa) and £175 and £75 on the TR6 (3000 miles pa). My separate insurance on the TR6 a couple of years ago was £140 (probably £175 now) so c £500 for the QP was a great result.

My 3200 is insured with Direct Line. I just called them to add my 29 year-old son to the policy for a week, during which time we're driving to Monaco for the Historic GP :). After a short pause I heard the price: "The cost will be £4.83. Would you like to go ahead?"
Who said these cars were expensive to run?

Once again Admiral have nearly made the fatal error of being competitive

The GT is coming in at a tenner over the cheapest on line quote: £660 all in
Mrs Catman's 147 has leapt from £196 to £270 however.

We shall discuss this

I don't understand how - but my GTS came in at 250 with E sure. And they want 345 for my Mito Cloverleaf. I don't understand it.

£250?! That's <50% of what I've been quoted. I can only assume that we live in more salubrious area where the GT is more likely to be stolen. Whereas you live somewhere where the Mito is the epitome of crime chic? :D

Just discussed next year's premiums with Admiral.

147 and GT for £768 which is cheaper (just) then individual quotes on Confused. Mrs Catman's has gone up, but they knocked about £200 off mine.

Thought I'd add to this. Insured with Admiral, then they called and talked me into multi-car which knocked a bit over £100 off the initial cost.

I have 2 years NCD on the Ghibli, we have full NCD on the Mito. York postcode.

Ghibli S £430
Alfa Mito £143

I'm the right side of 50 for insurance purposes :)

Just done my renewal, also with Admiral Multicar.

I've 3 cars on there with me and the missus on each.

Volvo - 15yrs NCD - £274.33
Mini - 18yrs NCD - £273.53
Stradale - 19yrs NCD - £731.46

I could have saved about £150 across them by going to individual policies thru confused.com however Admiral threw in full legal protection and all the add-ons etc.

I'm happy with that.

40 years young, Glasgow postcode

Is it just me. Or have the insurance prices gone up? I've just done a quick search on comparethemarket and I nearly choked on my water. It is nuts.... and nothing has changed. In fact I now have a garage.

I thought last year was bad ... but now this is taking the pi$$

I had a quote of 575 which was up from last year, but having spoke to Privilege and updated my mileage down to less than 5K it came down to 425 I also did a price quote on compare market who were cheaper than 575.

Seems totally random each year !!!
