I'm going to a different LeMans event (booked before I found out about this) and it will be my first. Staying in a campsite (glamping) right next to the track. I'll keep an eye open for any of you guys on the Eurotunnel - lunchtime Thu and Mon - and en-route as it would be good to meet some of you.

i am now booked onto the Eurotunnel. Tickets are Flexible so, if I miss one crossing, I'm good for another (theoretically).

Mon 15th 1206 arr 1141

Hope I might bump into some of you guys en-route - what are the odds? Look out for the car in the pic and give me a hoot if you see me!!

thanks , the wheels came out darker than i expected , but i may take them off and blow them over a few shades lighter before the off if i have the time .

I'm just working through a few little items that have been irritating me. There was a constant squeak from the drivers window which I've now cured and what a difference it makes! I've finally cut back the paint in the number plate recess in the boot lid and it looks great; the boot lid now has an even shine right across the back. I need to machine the rest of the car now just to finish it off. I've got a couple more niggles to sort and then I'm done.

Result! My refurbished a/c pump from Hungary seems to do the job. Certainly fits, anyway. Grimaldi, God bless 'em, managed to fit it in at short notice. Phew!

Le mans coast road

Ok, I have planned a route for the way down as we have bags of time, not toll roads or motorways, all off piste.

Something David and I have wanted to do for a while is take the coast road from Calais to Le Touquet and it works rather well.
