My local MD haven't even scheduled their launch event yet so I assume they are having a supply issue too, unless they've run out of Prosecco of course

Thats possible. Mind the Italians are more enterprising than the French with Champagne and have planted a huge number more vines to make Prosecco of late.

Who has them in the show room? Do all the dealers have them? Might see if I can go and have a look today

Can't believe how much interest a car that gets to 100 mph in 20 seconds is creating

Crisis averted, the Marshall Peterborough launch will take place next Wednesday - phew!

A nice little event at Marshall Peterborough tonight who had their nero demonstrator to unveil. I do like it in the flesh and the interior finish is very nice.
If you order & spec one now, you're looking at a 12 week delivery which I thought was pretty good so no doubt new customers will now be waiting for the next registrations

that is a short lead time. It was 6 months for the Evoque we ordered last year. When I saw one last week Stu I thought the interior was excellent and a very nice place to be. Just the rest of it still didn't move me one little bit. But style is a very individual and personal thing.

CAR magazine ranked it above both the F Pace V6 diesel and X5 6 cylinder bi turbo diesel in this month's road test. Earlier on in the mag they tested the new X Drive 530d which will be available as an estate - lighter, faster, more economic and better handling than all plus cheaper. However that is an estate vs SUV argument which is a different discussion.

Only a 12 week wait for the Levante tells you that there are few orders. Physical presence and Classic FM adverts will help mind.

I am sure it's a great 4x4 to drive and that interior is lovely just...but....i think I prefer the looks of the F Pace. They are right about a good 4x4 estate car like the BMW it was be more fun bs a better car but suppose people who want that by 4x4 experience will always go for that Chelsea tractor over a car.

Got mine today at 6pm. 6 weeks later than promised. Driven it 10 miles in the dark but enjoyed it. Unfortunately it was damaged in transport. The paint work has micro scratches all over it like its been through 20 Polish car washes and the roof is dented - it looks like something hit the antenna so there is a crease in it. Maranello were very apologetic and will take the car back after Christmas to fix it but not a great start I have to say. I'll post some pics and more info when I have time over the weekend.

They are lying about the delivery. They have no idea to be honest, the system is a black box. My car was 6 weeks late and was in the 2nd batch to be built. I think you are looking at late April early May at best.

Maranello has 30 orders on their books after delivering their first 2 batches of cars. All of these orders are before anyone had seen or driven a car. There has been zero marketing for car so I think this is a good start They expect to sell about 100-120 Levantes next year and perhaps 600-800 sales in the whole of the UK so its very much a niche product.

Congratulations on your car but what a bad first impression, sorry to hear that. No doubt it will get fixed just fine, but a shame for you to start in this manner.
That said, I look forward to the pictures and to hearing how you get on with it - I certainly think it's a decent looking car in the flesh as well as excellent value for money.

Yes lets hope so. The interior is very nice - went for upgraded leather and alcantara roof.

Collected mine yesterday afternoon from Graypaul Nottingham, thankfully without any of Hilts issues, about 5 weeks later than suggested. It is a very lovely thing in the flesh, and my impressions at the launch of it feeling very much more luxurious than my Ghibli were confirmed on the 100 mile journey home. The air suspension makes a significant difference to the ride composure. Here's a couple of photos

Looks great mate, well done! Very nice place to be and SUV's despite the flack they get are excellent for UK roads.
