Great colour. I wonder if the MY17 Ghilbi has a similar step up in quality/luxury?

hope you daughter gets better BTW.

Certainly looks very substantial, hope you enjoy driving in it.
From the pictures I have seen the cabin and dashboard arebroadly similar to the Ghibl. It's just a question of extended upholstery options that make the interior a nicer place to be.
Of course in line with the other models, it has the new infotainment and entertainment interface without the CD/DVD player, and the new climate control strip.
How do the new features compare to the previous?

Collected mine yesterday afternoon from Graypaul Nottingham, thankfully without any of Hilts issues, about 5 weeks later than suggested. It is a very lovely thing in the flesh, and my impressions at the launch of it feeling very much more luxurious than my Ghibli were confirmed on the 100 mile journey home. The air suspension makes a significant difference to the ride composure. Here's a couple of photos

Nice. Nice colour choice as well.

The second photo because of its body shape gives the impression it is quite a low sleek car rather than a 4x4.

That's the bizarre point, in that sporty SUVs do all they can to lower themselves back down and look more like large hatchbacks/estates. It's a bit like the 4 series/6 series four door coupes which are no longer coupes but somehow look better than the saloons to which they are second cousins. It's all too complicated for me, I used to like it when a child with a crayon could draw the few basic car designs that existed.

I'm really impressed with the drive. It's a little slower than the Ghibli D, presumably mostly because of the weight, but it's a different kind of car to drive, just feels much more luxurious and refined, so you probably feel less inclined to wrong it's neck anyway.

Yes, they look very similar inside, but compared to my MY15 Ghibli, pretty much every single part feels either better quality or better fitted/finished, with possible exception of the cup holder cover which feels a little flimsy and insufficiently damped.

I went with the Luxury rather than Sports seats but with ventilated leather and they feel sumptuous, particularly in cuoio. I also went for ebano wood and a grey alcantara headlining which again just adds to the luxurious feel.

Dare I say the Luxury and quality so specified finally feels on a par with the best QPvs I've owned.

The infotainment centre feels like a big step forward in operation and capability. However, I have only just started to play with it so I'll reserve judgement on how big for a few days.

Right off to take some pics of mine. So far done 15 miles - all in the dark but today I will get out on the road and try to forget the dent in the roof

The interior does indeed look great. I have attached a photo from when I got my car, also showing the ebano wood, which in conjunction with the extended leather produces the luxury cabin look that I think typifies the luxury that Maserati is known for. Almost like that of a Bentley.
I notice you chose Adaptove Cruise Cpntrol. A personal favourite gadget which sadly wasn't available when I ordered my car. For me although sacrilegious for many traditional drivers, the less I have to do to drive the car the better!!!

Congratulations, chaps. I'm going to test drive one soon when my Ghibli goes in for a service, it'll be interesting to compare.
