unfortunately the white connector shell that normally is on the car side wiring loom appears to be a part that you just cant get. I would be delighted if any one here can find them as i would recommend replacing these as well as the pedal sensor. I have the mating part that goes on the sensor side and i can get the insert contacts for both sides but not the body shell, its really odd. i presume its an OEM thing. I have the AMP part numbers some where.

I rather doubt the connector per se is that important. The fact that it's been cut out would seem to indicate that the cables have been spliced in the known 'fix'

Surely any suitable connector would suffice?

indeed any connector would do, and in fact having it soldered in wont cause any problems but it does make it harder to measure the voltages, as there are no bared contacts to prod your meter leads on. I was just commenting that some one suggested fixing the missing connector and we have in fact discussed this and cant get the part.

Ah!
That may have been me, but it was based on the suspicion that lack of connector = bodged cables. Which is what I was suggesting needed fixing :)

Some cars do have the soldered cables but as Davy says it makes checking output voltafes difficult. On mine the cables had been cut back that short that I ended up sourcing a used wiring connector from the ECU side (Davis Askew) and then actually joined that to the wires I had with a special crimp tool and some PC style power connectors which made it far more reliable.

Update to all :

No issue for 3 days since I cleaned the blue connector below passenger carpet.

NO CEL or limp mode, but ODB2 still say Throttle pedal postion error or misfunction. But No symptoms

As said by Davy, no connector available, then only way to measure voltage would be to cut the wires (again) and I'm a bit shy as it is working now.

Now I cross fingers that it won't CEL or Limp again.

That sounds promising.
The OBD2 code will remain stored until it is permanently deleted so maybe that is why you are still seeing it, but the main thing it is driving well with no disco lights flashing at you. Fingers crossed that's how it will remain

I don't have a blue connector with 20 wires. These throttle wires should feed the ECU not a blue connector block!!!!

I believe Ogajoe has a LHD car so the layout of the electrics is going to be somewhat different.

Phew, thanks for that, neither do I. I won't hijack this thread but I'm having the Devil's own time with P0221 CELs. Will post separately in the hope that it will help others and me

You have a standard throttle body and pedal?
Or did you upgraded something already?

Took a drive yesterday. 130 km of mountains road... What a machine !!!
All power available, ASR on out of each corners ;-)

Temp was 23c against 30c in the previous ride. It is far better.

Only oil level blinking in fast left corners... I was topped up, might be something else
